Dang that cover looks good. I cancelled my pre-order for the machine and it's gonna be hard to resist it once the launch is here. It looks real neat!

I cancelled mine too. I have a megadrive, plus I can just put the roms on my snes classic. Looks fantastic though, perhaps 6 button pads would have made it a tougher decision.

Not buying the Mini but I'll probably buy the Retrogamer issue!

Still tempted though :shifty:

So did the US.

Only the Japanese one got the six-button pads.

I'll probably pick up one of the 8bitDo MD pads for this.

I just meant that along with the retro feels of the games, us not getting something other territories are getting also harkens back to those days. Yeah, Americans are getting shafted too. Welcome to the club!

Ah the good old days. Just need them to be 50Hz PAL ROMS. :dread:

Get some of that authentic slow, letter-boxed action! :datass:

I love the look of this, and if it is knocking around somewhere cheap next year I may still grab one, but I've got everything I need emulation wise on my Raspberry Pi or SNES mini so just can't be dealing with another one now.

I'm mostly getting it as a collectible rather than something I'll spend any length of time playing. I've got more devices capable of playing MD games than I can remember at this point. Assuming it's hackable all I'm going to do is add Mega CD, 32X and some of the notable omissions (Sonic 3 I think is missing) and leave it at that.

Yeah I get the collectable aspect of it, and it would look super cute on anyone's shelf!

I've been tempted to get a dinky console case to put my Pi 3 in for just this reason in fact. :D

Raspberry Pi with Retropie on it is a better option.
