As if being denied SoR's opening theme wasn't bad enough (though I do agree SoR2 is the superior game) they include Eternal Champions in the list? I'd also bin Earthworm Jim.

I wanted QuackShot too. :(

I also wanted Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasure, Aladdin and The Lion King.

I'll still be getting one though.

For pure nostalgia, I wanted John Madden 95 and Populous, as they were the first two games I got on it.

Though, on reflection, I didn't like either of them at first and was actually dead jealous of the people who'd got the bundle with the appalling Altered Beast instead. "RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE" indeed.

I know the problems with branding and licences, but I think a sports title would have been a nice inclusion even if many don't age that well. Oh, also, Jungle Strike would have been good.

It does seem like a cracking mix of nostalgia and rare (therefore 'new') stuff, so I really hope it does well. I'm in two minds myself as I have most of these games already on multiple formats. But still... want want want

Plus, it's really good to see Sega giving so much care to its own treasured back catalogue and history by doing this thing properly themselves as well.

Hmm...Dreamcast mini...

Hang on, it must have been Madden 92 not 95 that I played.

I'm old and confused.

Nostalgia's not what it used to be. What's a sega?

I'd kill for this.

Since getting a new TV I've not been able to connect my Dreamcast as there's no SCART socket. No doubt this has happened to many other owners, all those great exclusives and experiences are being lost to history it seems.

The closest we've got to anything since they killed the console off was the below sorry effort lacking so many great exclusives like Jet Set Radio, MSR and Soul Calibur, I mean who gives a gooseberry fool about Sega Bass Fishing?

I got a HDMI adapter for my dreamcast which works really well.

You could get a VGA adapter for it back in the day as well I think? That would probably still work although I guess even VGA is old hat now!

I too would kill for mini Dreamcast, it is definitely one of the machines that I really regret selling.

I wish the Mega CD add-on was functional and included some Mega CD games.

Yeah, that'd be cool, Laga. On Twitter I saw that someone suggested CD and 32X games could become available if you connected the appropriate accessory... that would have been amazing!

I imagine people will hack the thing fairly quickly and get 32X and MegaCD stuff on there as well! Would have been nice to have official support though I guess.

Most of the CD/32X catalogue was terrible though to be fair!

Thanks

Seems like that could do the job.

Sounds like it's only compatible with VGA compatible games, so titles like Code Veronica won't work, but I have that on PS2 anyway.

I have code veronica but I didn't try it. All my other stuff worked though.

I was playing the 32X versions of Doom and Star Wars Arcade last night. Both are pretty decent, for a quick arcadey blast. The 32X especially just never had much time to build up a library and there's only 32/33 games ever released for it.

Mega CD does actually have some decent games, including arguably the best console version of Final Fight (At the time) and some RPGs. Not to mention Sonic CD and Snatcher. It's definitely a system I've grown to appreciate over time. It does have a load of FMV trash though.

Oh yeah, not denying there are some gems to be found, but overall it isn't a good selection. I wouldn't want to be in charge of selecting 42 games for a possible 32X/CD mini!

Much as I love Sonic I have to admit that Sonic CD is probably my least favourite of the 16-bit games, it's just not as tight as the Sonic Team games. Shining Force and Lunar are both great CD games if I recall correctly.
