Do you mean Sanwa?

And is it actual Sanwa parts, not just Sanwa style? I have Sanwa sticks on my Street Fighter cab, they are the shiz, but it came with 'Sanwa Style' sticks and they were pretty lame.

I expect MadCatz will release over here though, which is good news.

Sorry if any of this has already been stated as I didn't feel like reading all 11 pages. But I just got back from NV.

The rep told me that the buttons and joystick on the premium stick are officially real sanwas. the start/select etc buttons are all on the rear of the stick. the stick and buttons felt just like the real cabs which were sitting about 100 ft away at the capcom booth with 8 imported SFIV machines on free play. Each two cabs were networked together but none on the internet. Don't know if Akuma was playable as I was too busy using Gief. But I didn't see anyone select him.

The sticks were being demoed on a PS1 playing SFZero. There was MAJOR lag (a good half second) with the sticks and buttons but the rep assured me it was the adapters they were using and it wasn't a final product and that there will be no lag at all. Aside from that it felt just like the cabs. I looked under the premi stick and the base was not metal so they seemed kind of light to me. The premi stick was bigger than the normal stick.

The rep couldn't say anything official about how moddable the stick is. But he said it would be fairly easy for those who want to take it apart. I remember during the vendor class they had bullet points for the premium stick during the presentation but they didn't go over them. One point that I saw was that the buttons were all screw on and easily taken apart.

Awesome!

Sanwa are the only sticks I'd take over Hori, and that's high praise indeed.

She really likes Street Fighter actually, along with Poyo Pop it's probably the only game she'd say she's a fan of.

I don't know what it is, but me and arcade sticks just don't get along. The best control method I've ever come across are the Street Fighter Anniversary pads for the ps2 and it seems like they're back for the 360 :D

The ones that were shaped like a Saturn pad? They were brilliant pads, I have Ryu and Chun-Li ones.

Megadrive 6 button pad is the best street fighter pad ever.

What makes a good fighting D-Pad then? A dude I used to work with showed me some 3rd party Dreamcast (I think) controller that he said would be perfect for beat-em-ups, but then said that the buttons ruined it.

I looked at this controller, and could see it had a D-Pad, and buttons, and thus couldn't understand the problem.

Just look at how awful it is. It's one big flaw.

That Ryu pad needs to be bought. If only they had the sticks needed for other games too.

I can't use the arcade sticks for Street Fighter games for some reason. I think I got too used to the Saturn pad Shadow pointed out. I even got a Ryu limited edition PS2 pad shaped like a Saturn pad as the sticks never feel right for me.

Hopefully the pads will be out in time for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

Definitely picking up one of the pads, the PS2 ones were quality (had them all except for Akuma which I couldn't find anywhere).

Arcade sticks are a bit out of my price range though :(
