Ok so played an hour and it’s glorious.

First impressions are not good, the cut scenes are very low polygon. They are clear and indeed 4K but they were never that good anyway. The controls have been updated but still feel a little weird at first, you do get used to them after 20mins or so, I feared I wouldn’t at all but I’m find now.

It’s important to remember that you can equip your gun to you left or right hand and that determines which trigger you use to fire. Lock on is automatic usually but you can hold LB/L1 to make sure. While aiming press Y to toggle between enemies above or below.

For the boomers among us who loved the original this is essential. Away from the cut scenes and their jank it’s a truly gorgeous game, the lighting is stunning. All in all I was back running around the intertwining tunnels and hallways coupled with some platforming like back in the day. The sound track is as good as before and while the combat was always basic, it’s a little better here.

Can’t see this getting many new followers but I can’t wait to play more.

For Xbox Series owners it supports quick resume which is perfect for this.

I'm already kinda stuck, needing more Dark Souls to progress but this is what the game is all about, ill begin searching every nook and cranny.

If I remember rightly, wasn't that bit of paper the only game map actually available to the player? There was nothing in-game.

Where the hell do I take cadeaux once I've got 100 of them?!

I've searched online but all I can find is location guides and nothing about actually using them.

... Nevermind, just killed Yort and found the shrines.

Shadow level 4 and now I can push burning blocks. :msgreen:

My brain when I ask it to remember where the level 4 door and push blocks are
