Sekiro is this month's GI exclusive.

I had barely looked at Sekiro; at E3 I just thought "not really my thing" and then avoided reading about it. But, as it has got closer to launch, some of the preview vids have caught my eye and I'm starting to think that it could be pretty neat.

The above vid does a good job of explaining the gameplay; it's not Souls or 'Borne but there are some similar elements... however, the lessons learnt in those games won't apply here and a new approach is needed. It looks stylish and I'm interested to see if it can capture an audience in the way that that From's earlier titles did.

It's not Dark Souls type of difficult but apparently it is still hard.

I have been wanting a Samurai game and two has rolled in. This and Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima. What time to be alive.

I enjoyed Nioh. Never got around to finishing it though.

Yeah, I watched a couple of vids and this does look really cool, Godzilla. I'm interested to hear what your view is on the difficulty level as that could be a bump in the road for me... but it does seem so neat.

I'll not post it here but the launch trailer shows a lot of new footage and bosses/mini bosses. Very much a Souls game.

This looks like an evolution of Bloodborne, with loads of new bits added. A modern day Tenchu, metal gear meets Bloodborne.

I like these types of games even if I'm pretty bad at them, look forward to seeing how this one is received by the fans.

I won't be getting this anywhere near launch ("just" gotta play through all of the Soulsborne games beforehand :slol: ) but I've watched a number of vids and it does look so cool. It appears Soulsborne-like but apparently the gameplay is quite different; success requires the use of stealth and "posture" whilst the difficulty level is supposedly even tougher.

Apparently if you play this like dark Souls, you’ll die a LOT.

So you have to learn how to play it.
