First look at the Shenmue anime series. I'm surprised there is enough interest for this to get made to be honest. Regardless I'm pretty excited for it and while I'd love to see a conclusion in game form I'd happily watch the ending in anime (if it makes it that far). Clearly not enough sailors in the trailer though.

I suspect sailors will play a role.

Not a big anime fan but as someone who really got into the first 2 games back in the Dreamcast days and really really got bored to feck a little way into the third game and gave up....

The problem with the third game, that while the first setting and story worked pretty well (i'm looking for some thugs etc), the second was basically a repeat of the first as the basic structure of the chapter was exactly the same (unlike shenmue 2 which changed quite dramatically with each setting).

It looks great.

I am still waiting for Shenmue IV. Probably in 15-20 years time.

Begins tomorrow on Crunchyroll! 13 episodes and surprisingly, seems that a new trailer reveals the final scene of Shenmue 2. I wonder if - assuming it is renewed for a second season down the line - this will become the actual way the story is concluded.

They'll need to come up with some interesting stuff for Shenmue 3, as that one hardly had any story at all.
