Short-term cloud storage

Hi chaps, wondered if you might be able to help me with a tech question.

Yesterday I upgraded to Catalina OS, and in the process it appears to have broken my external hard drive, and says it needs to be reformatted. I can see all the files in it, and they all work – I just can't seem to edit them (I can copy them).

I have about 2TB of files (mostly music and docs) on there, so too much to quickly switch to my hard drive while I reformat.

Does anyone know if there's a way I can buy/access a quick cloud storage I could just dump all the files in, reformat the hard drive, and then take them out again? All the ones I've looked at seem to suggest annual plans for the amount of space I need.

Thanks.

Never mind, turns out the upgrade had made the disk read-only and have remedied it be redownloading the NTFS for mac driver :toot:

I would only add that those NTFS drivers for OSX are pretty dodgy as NTFS is a proprietary MS format and so it has been reverse engineered. Don't rely on reading or writing any data to NTFS drive that's important on OSX. Stick to reading or reformat to exFAT or Mac OS Journaled.
