Happy days 8-)

"two Silent Hill games, one a soft-reboot of the franchise, the other an episodic TellTale/Until Dawn-style game to go alongside the reboot"

Whilst it would be great to see Silent Hill return to it's glory days, it's Konami and look have they messed up MGS and Contra, so it doesn't fill me with much confidence.

Konami must be getting jealous of watching Capcom knock it out of the park with RE2 and the likely success of RE3.

Just remake the first one.

Though to be fair, 2 and 3 were very good as well. 4 was when the series began going downhill. It's telling that without going to look it up I have zero recollection of what they did with the franchise after 4.

I started Downpour late last year and it's pretty good. In fact, think I'll dig it out tonight after work and continue with it.

Silent Hill 2 was incredible, a genuinely brilliant experience. 1 and 3 were good, but everything else that I've played or read about from the series is a bit gooseberry fool as far as I can tell.

If they can recapture what made the early games special then I'd be up for another trip to Silent Hill.

According to a North American PR representative for Konami, recent Silent Hill rumors “are not true.”

“We’re aware of all the rumors and reports but can confirm that they are not true. I know it’s not the answer your fans may want to hear,” said the Konami US PR rep.

In the Konami rep’s original email, he also said: “It’s not to say we are completely closing the door on the franchise, just not in the way it is being reported.” So, while Konami US is denying that the rumors are true, they’re once again acknowledging that the series is still alive in some way.

No offence but Pushsquare’s ‘rumours’ have been massively miss informed, especially about the PS5.
