I totally get that. (Not you not liking one of their Spidey games; that's totally mad!) I think once we see gameplay you'll at the very least be more interested in this than you are currently. CGI/cutscene teasers work best for sequels. (Prime PS examples being TLoU 2 and GoW: Ragnarok.)

Guy who wrote Spec Ops is behind the writing on Wolverine

 How did you even find this thread to post that news in it?! Changing the title something more sensible now.

I had to search Insomniac

Good thinking / soz for not sticking the name of the game in there somewhere.

Spidey is just such an aggressively "okay" game, when it should have been so much better. It's incredibly "open world filler" as well.

Not in a "this is dog gooseberry fool" way, just a low level ennui that leaves me thinking "this is Spider-Man! This is Insomniac FFS! Why is this not a better game!?"

So yeah, I'm struggling to get excited for more comic book action from them at the moment. Perhaps a proper trailer will get my hype levels going

Listen we're all entitled to our opinion and videogames are the most subjective medium, but this is a bad take and you should be ashamed.

Why? It's cookie cutter open world schtick all day long! The web slinging is awesome, and it's often visually excellent (although that 30fps :dread: ) but the on foot movement is often atrocious, the combat is uninspiring, the story is meh, and the activities it gives you to bulk our the game time become boring dangerously fast. Oh look another tower to take over in the exact same way, another shitty backpack to find, another Oscorp lab to tick off, ooh more tedious fights against Fisk's seemingly endless supply of construction dudes... :|

The story is something I really like about it.

Are you playing the PS5 version?

I thought it had a improved fps mode?

The story/relationships part was my favourite part of the game as well. And there's so many combat unlocks that you're bound to strike upon a combo of moves which can make it not gooseberry fool.

Both Spider-Man games were strawberry floating phenomenal. And this is from someone not really arsed about Spider-Man.

The story is far from "meh" It's a great take on Spider-Man for fans of the character.

Yeah those takes on Spider-Man are just trolling at this point  the games are probably one of my favourite representations of the Spidey universe plus they are fun as hell to play.

Good to see the Spidey Defence Force out in strength!

Anyway, Wolverine - what do people want to see from a modern videogame representation of the character then?

I have to say I agree more with this than I disagree.
