Also it is 2015. Surely they should scrap the HD prices.

This. Taking the individual costs of the Sky packages in isolation makes them not seem so bad but £10 for HD channels takes the piss.

Your parents pay for it?

No, work pay for it.

That fund is called a "wage"; the rest of us use it to pay rent. Hope this helps.

I guess some people might say funded postgraduate study isn't a "job", but I am certainly paid a wage which unfortunately really does immediately disappear into my rent bill. :(

Pft. 'Free'. I am sure you pay tax on it. Unless you are a heinous tax evader!

If there was ever any more need for a reason to ditch sky come my renewal date...

Having been through this game last year, you get it applied automatically and have to proactively opt out. It also means the 'deal' I got before is affected. So basically the deal I negotiated for a year in good faith gets thrown out.

Take my money Branson. Rupert can get bent.

If NowTV make the weekly pass a permanent thing then I can finally leave Sky but right now I can't as still want to watch F1 so only option is to stay really.

SickBeard + sabnzbd, Netflix, iPlayer, Freeview HD. More than enough for us.

We've already got too much to watch as it is.

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I currently pay £38.75 per month for the family bundle + HD. Does anyone else have the same package and pay the same? I rarely watch anything on Sky, most of what I watch is on Netflix. If I lived alone, I'd just have Netflix.

Yes?

Completely unbiased opinion:

You should all take out Virgin Media's superior contracts

Even netflix is pulling this stunt.

I dunno, I dont use it myself, but the people who have them seem to like them.

Also, having recently done my ethics course I dont think Im allowed to talk smack about lesser companies.
