No sign of a switch version discount yet

I keep thinking I'm going to love this game every time I pick it up, but I bounce of it every time.

I did a quick search on eBay but it seems that even a second-hand copy of the Switch version is maintaining a £35-ish price point.

I’m quite surprised that it’s not been put on sale, I was expecting quite a lot of Skyrim related stuff to go on sale for the 10th anniversary across the various platforms.

Yeah, I think the £48 Anniversary Edition and the £16 upgrade have meant that we won't be seeing any discounts at the moment, Robbo.

I am genuinely quite surprised, they’ve put it on sale at 50% quite a few times before so I thought they might follow suit today

Well, I guess you never know... it could happen! The Switch version has been discounted to £24.99 in the eShop on ten occasions in the past; most recently on 23 September.

I don't like Skyrim. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets ported everywhere!

Related fun fact: Skyrim came out closer to the release of Attack of the Clones than it did to today

Anyone else tempted to buy the upgrade ?

Not a chance in hell, I can pay £15 to get 26 mods or I can stick with SE and have access to a load more mods and tip the modder (If I like the mod and they allow it). I know which way I prefer.

I'm a little confused, playing the new ps5 version is this now running at 60fps or do I still need the 60fps mod?

Yeah, if you've downloaded the free update for the Special Edition and are playing on PS5, the game is running at 60 fps, Red.

Yes and I can confirm the Xbox Series X version now runs at 60fps without the boost option. (Oddly the option is still on the dashboard for the title so unsure if it does anything when ticked)

Bought it

Just moving it back from my external HDD to my internal one.

Will try and start a fresh play-through tomorrow, I reckon this might actually end up being my last proper run of Skyrim so one thing I’ll be doing is becoming a Vampire Lord, every other character I’ve had has ended up as a Werewolf. Also might go for a Khajiit finally as well instead of a Breton which has also become a staple for the majority of my characters.

With the Game Pass discount it was only just over £14 anyway, Todd knows how to get me :lol:
