Anyone heard rumblings of a switch discount on the 11th?

I probably won't play this, I have Skyrim on PS3 and then rebought it on Switch for the portability - for me that's my preferred version for playing handheld. I'll be there day one for ES6 though!

So if I upgrade from the special edition to the anniversary edition the only thing I'm paying for are mods being integrated to the actual game?

Yes, I believe so, Mafro. To be fair it's a lot of mods ("500+", IIRC) and I believe the upgrade cost represents a substantial saving over purchasing all of the mods individually via Creation Club. I guess folk have to decide whether they want to play the (enhanced) vanilla game or if they'd like to try out the mods.

It's 74 mods - all 48 that currently exist on creation club plus 26 new ones that are releasing separately onto creation club at the same time.

The "500+" number is a marketing ploy from Bethesda, it's a count of "individual elements such as quests, items, armor, houses, etc.".

I had no idea this was coming out but I'm hardly surprised. Will it be visually upgraded? Because to be honest, unless it is better visually with upgraded textures and lighting, I'm not sure I can really be arsed, especially given I'm almost certain to get GTA Trilogy provided the Switch performance is good.

I'm not expecting any genuine visual enhancements in this, but perhaps that's just my latent negativity seeping through!

The mods they are adding were community created?

I wouldn’t get your hopes up for £20, every time I’ve seen it on sale it’s been £24.99 at the cheapest, obviously shopping around the various regions eShop might save you the last £5 though?

Vids of the gameplay on new gen consoles are now appearing on YouTube. The general feeling seems to be that the 4K 60 FPS presentation is nice but there appears to be few real graphical enhancements.

I'm a Skyrim fanboy and even I'm not bothering with this anniversary edition, it's just more icing on a cake I've already eaten 5 times.
