Yeah. Creating a clone which is half him and half Clark is even more in character with Smallville's Lex than the comics. Lex was clearly in love with Clark in the early seasons. He devoted a whole room to Clark in the mansion!

I guess if they do go this route, then Michael Rosenbaum will be the original Lex who somehow survived getting exploded earlier on.

EDIT: It looks like the writers have just confirmed the Lex clone is Connor.

DC hero Superboy is to appear in a forthcoming episode of Smallville, it has been reported.

According to TV Line, Connor Kent and his alter ego will by portrayed by Lucas Grabeel in the hit show.

Executive producers Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders said: "Conner's journey is manipulated by a master... Luckily, someone knows more about Conner’s life than he does. But he should be wary of strangers bearing gifts."

It was previously reported that actor Michael Rosenbaum will reprise his role as Lex Luthor for the programme's finale, despite rumours to the contrary.

Smallville is currently in its tenth and final season. The show concludes in May.

So Rosenbaum must be playing classic Lex.

That appears to be the direction they are going, although seriously, I cannot wait to see how they explain Lex surviving.

Let's be honest, it wouldn't be the biggest suspension of disbelief Smallville has asked of us.

EDIT: Spoilers obviously ,here's a picture of Superboy in the costume:

Hmm. A rather odd mix this week I thought.

AM/Chloe are still the bestest thing on the show - and her scenes with Deasad were well done. The reveal of the Omega symbol at the end was well done, even if it was (looking back) a little obvious (although I missed it)

Some incredible stupidity though;

Clark Kent, who everyone has seen as "normal" Clark Kent, will now wear glasses and stumble around a bit and everyone else will have their memories of the previous version of him wiped? In the comics/movies, nobody else had seen "original" Kent, so it was semi-plausible.

I also hate that their going with the Kill Bill theory. He's been raised as Clark KENT. Martha and Bo Duke were raising him to be their son, with their values. They weren't raising "The Blur", "Superman" or a Savouir. Jor-El (in Smallville Verse) or Lionel might have done that - but not the Kents. They were just raising a fundamentally good person - which is what Clark, in any continuity, has always been. (Except when he was creepily stalking a married Lois in Returns ;))

And, in an episode all about how Clark will struggle with his secret identity vs heroic public exposure - Oliver, through the magic of hair dye, becomes completely and utterly unrecognisable - even to well trained FBI agents?

"I don't spend much time paying attention to what happens half way around the world."

That's an amazing line from someone who's supposed to be a journalist.
Fairly enjoyable episode I thought but last week's was obviously much better.

Not bad. I'm not a fan of Chlollie scenes in general but this was one of the better showings on that front. Hilarious cockney accents on that Blur web video. Also I love how they quickly and conveniently covered what had happened to Desaad at the end. Good to see the glasses finally on permanently but I don't think Tom Welling quite has that 'adjust glasses on the nose' movement down yet.

The best line was

"Microvision."

"Micro.....vision?"

"Well it's my power I can call it whatever I want!"

That was pretty good - Despite it being a little too blatant that the pitch for this was "Hey, let's do a 'The Hangover' episode, that would be awesome!" Nice to see Emile get some screen time and do some comedy, and it was a humorous break before we no doubt start hitting the heavy stuff towards the Series close. Nice references to Batman and Wonder Woman. Also quite funny that I watched this just before watching an episode of BSG in which Felix Gayda sings.

In the barn near the end of the episode where Chloe mentioned to Clark that she had been travelling the world finding people like him. She mentioned a Billionaire with hi-tech toys and a Wondrous Woman.

Still need to watch the latest ep, but as after this week's it's off air until April 16th I'm in no hurry.

It's Alison Mack's last episode.

Pretty much since the begining AM/Chloe has been the best thing on the show.

This latest one was Chloe's last ep? She's not even in the finale?

It's her last announced ep, but going by what happened in the episode, I can't see her not appearing again. In fact, I'd bet my car on it.

Great episode, John Glover is always amazing in this show. I loved the ending too but what was with that graveyard? Giant obelisks everywhere? It was nice to see Darkseid actually maybe doing something as well. What the hell has he been up to?

It's quite shocking that something that was a bad as "Fortune" last week, can be so much better this week.

Always liked Conner/Superboy - so was pleased to see him make an appearence, and thought the actor did it well.

The Clark/Lex HoYay was out in force - but it was nice for them to a) mention Lex and Clark used to be friends and b) Clark's secrets did drive wedges between them.

Glover was magnificant as normal - and seemed to elevate Welling whenever they were on screen together. Nice plays by Tess too.

Generally solid episode though.

While I was sick on Tuesday/Wednesday, I started watching Smallville from the start for the first time in nearly ten years. I get so sad when you think about Clark and Lex were such good friends and how Lex continuously reaches out to Clark, I just keep thinking, damn it Clark! Tell him your secret :x

Also didn't remember that Shawn Ashmore was in it as Eric Summers.
