‘We have filmed a documentary, it’s going to be aired at the end of the year. We went back to the studio where we did it. They rebuilt the set. We all cried,’ Cat confessed when chatting to radio host and tool Chris Moyles on his Radio X show.

No word on if it's just a documentary or if they're gonna utilise the rebuilt set to do some of the old sketches. New Challenge Ant and Pokerap please!

Could have sworn they did something like this a few years ago?

Never watched SM:TV back in the day though. I was more of a BBC/Nickelodeon breakfast fan on the weekends. Was I missing out?

I think there was a brief talking heads thing about it during that CITV nostalgia day. And yeah, AD&C were very genuine, you could tell they really enjoyed themselves presenting SM:TV and it translated to the sketches very well.

One of my favourite games was What's Ant Whistling.

Anyone who gave a wrong answer was immediately called an imbecile.

Can't seem to find any video clips of it though. :(

Is keeping these two irritating cretins off the telly on a permanent basis too much to ask?

Whitehall, Mulhern, Holmes, Carr, Carr, Swash, Price and you settle on Ant and Dec?

Believe me, there is a long, long list of TV presenters I can't stand. The ones whose names I recognise from your list are all on it.

I don’t have a huge issue with Dec, but I also couldn’t care any less than I currently do about SM:TV live. It started when I was like, 10 and I was too old for it then.

I never watched SM:TV other than the last 5 minutes while I was waiting for CD:UK to start. So all I ever saw was the "Chums" sketch and that never made me want to watch more of their show.

Just saw Des Clarke on the list of presenters. Definitely glad I didn’t watch.

That's interesting as SM:TV felt specifically catered to kids our age at the time, being edgier than Live & Kicking and whatever replaced Live & Kicking.

It did that thing of marketing to 10 and 11 year olds by looking like something for teenagers.

And it was great.

There's some good Wonkey Donkey clips where kids guessing wrong are called idiots. Largely because the answers all have to rhyme and they guess things like "overweight feline",to Dec's increasing bemused frustration.

I don't think I really watched that much Saturday morning TV by the time this was on but I did catch bits of it fairly regularly. It was decent enough for what it needed to be but I don't think it needs a nostalgia hit comeback to remind us that it's not really as good as people remember it to be

Yep, agreed. I remember enjoying it as a kid but I don't really get all nostalgic thinking about it.
