I was more of a going live kid, and was pissed off when it got replaced with this. Never really liked it.

Not to be rude, but I think you were a little bit too old for SMTV. I grew up on and loved SMTV every week, that and Live and Kicking.

There was a whole bunch of shows inbetween.

Going Live was BBC and SMTV was ITV.

Other than that youre bang on.

I didn't want CHAT, I wanted Sister Sister and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

One of my favourite saturday morning shows was ITV's Ghost Train, it was filmed mainly outdoors during the summer months, and featured the legendary game; Skull.

Winter time saw it replaced by Motormouth which was mostly indoors, and featured the awesome Mouse Trap.

I liked it when the summer rolled around and Live & Kicking went on a break so we had the Scotland based Fully Booked on as a replacement instead, although all I really remember was that it had a talking cow.

By all means like what you like but you're the only one I've ever heard of who exclusively WANTED to watch CD:UK, let alone also wanting to avoid SM:TV.

I'm not saying CD:UK was a great show, but it was better than anything else on at that time of the day.

Truth. I think that's why I always preferred ITV over BBC when it came to kids' shows: most of the CBBC stuff was (and is) very London-centric, almost like it's trying to indoctrinate kids into the pop music of the moment to shift sales. I rarely got that from ITV stuff, with CD:UK being the rare exception.

What happened to Cat Deeley? Did she move to America, or have I imagined that?

My memories about these programmes is so hazy. But I remember watching all of these:

BBC
Going Live (Phillip Schofield, Sarah Greene...Emma Forbes?)
Live & Kicking (Andi Peters? Zoe Ball? Jon Barrowman?)

ITV
SM:TV (Ant & Dec, Cat Deeley)
Fully Booked (Gail Porter?)
CD:UK (?? - really can't remember anything about this at all)

Feels like ITV's Saturday morning programmes went on longer than BBC's, maybe even after Live & Kicking stopped?
Anyway, good days indeed

Maybe, but I remember watching it and just thinking it was a bit juvenile. I was a very old child. :fp:
