Are they definite the same plug/socket as the SNES Classic?

That's what I keep getting told, and was shown this,

I was surprised, it looks like the actual SNES sockets are just for show? Which is a bit of a disappointment if I'm honest.

My tracking with Yodel also still shows "Sorry, we can't find that parcel" :(
I was hoping it might arrive tomorrow with such early shipping but it doesn't look like that's going to be the case.

Having ordered those cables though, I may end up ordering at least one of these,

When they come out in the UK at least anyway, no listing on Amazon UK yet.

Those connectors look like the ones on the Wii and Wii U controllers. I wonder if the Wii SNES / Wii Classic / Wii Pro controllers could connect up to it?

I may have to try my Wii Pro Controller in it and see if it'll work.

It will, they are the same connection. You could even put a nunchuck in it.

I got an extension cable for one of my NES Mini controllers so will just use that when I'm playing solo (which is most of the time, foreveralone.jpg)

That socket design is actually pretty great in my opinion, its not too big to be obnoxious, it's keyed so its easy to locate, its not too small to be fiddly and wobbly, and it locks in very well. Plus it's metal. The GameCube one was great too but for Wii they wanted something more secure two pair the 2 parts together, it makes sense for them to have continuity which no-one else has done except for USB (except PlayStation to be fair. And MegaDrive/Mastersystem...)

I post that because Intel copied it word for word and tried to make it a meme.

Why is everyone shitting themselves about their preorders when it's only Wednesday?

If it's any consolation my Amazon order hasn't changed.

I'm not worried because I forgot it was this week, and I'm probably not going to play it for weeks (if ever).

It just want one because I'm stupid
