One bullet can change history...

Developer: Rebellion
Publisher: 505 Games
Genre: Action/Simulation/Snipathon
Platforms: 360/PS3/PC
Release Date: May 2012
http://sniperelitev2.com/us/

Sniper Elite V2 features detailed sniping simulation with advanced ballistics, taking into account gravity, wind, velocity, bullet penetration, aim stability and more. Guaranteed to provide players with the most realistic simulation of military sharpshooting yet available.

Amazing "kill cam" technology showcases what really happens when a bullet enters an enemy’s body, allowing players to see hearts and lungs tear, livers burst, bones and teeth shatter, and entrails fall out.

The game features authentic World War II Berlin locations as well as vehicles, weapons such as the Springfield M1903, the Gewehr 43 and the Mosin-Nagant 1891/30, and uniforms modeled after the original versions.

Players will often find themselves facing a choice of the perfect shot that leaves them catastrophically exposed or a more difficult route that means they can continue their mission.

So I just played the demo of this (PS3), and I have to say I was rather pleasantly surprised. Anyone else had a go?

It's probably not going to win any awards or get really high reviews, but it scratches that very particular itch I get for sniping Nazis in the head

Wow, this is right up my street. Well, not literally or anything, I mean it is pretty bad around here but not that dangerous.

Really looking forward to this now, wouldn't have even known about it if it hadn't been for this thread so, thankyou!

At last a game that kind of feels like playing Daniel Jackson in Saving Private Ryan. Shame they couldn't, somehow, get in the grace before setting up shot.

Will try more later.

I was trying to show my flatmate the "nut shot" as its so commonly known, due to it's brutal-ness. As the camera followed the bullet I turned to him and said to brace your cojones. The bullet hit the guy, who exploded. It wasn't until a couple of seconds after did I release, I had hit the grenade on his belt.

Great demo, glad to hear that it supports online co-op too. Might even pre-order after hearing about the DLC you get with it (Assassinate Hitler).

Got a fit of church giggles in the office reading that. Good work.
