Currently £22 on Amazon but like many think I'll wait until it's cheap in a Steam Sale or something before taking the plunge. Think if we could get some multiplayer against each other it could be quite fun. Crawling through blitzed WW2 scenery and taking each other out from range.

Having played CSS with people on here, the idea of playing a game entirely about sniping with those people sounds like an awful prospect.

I was a big fan of the first one. It was rough as hell and didn't shy away from suddenly turning cheap and nasty on you, but it offered something I think I had been waiting a good long while for. The co-op was a rather excellent experience. I expect I wouldn't have enjoyed it anywhere near as much as a solo campaign, but being able to spend time co-ordinating your attack and then both striking as one, it was very nice. I got a similar vibe to the first game in the V2 demo; unpolished, a little crude and a bit unfair but something different, something methodical and hopefully worthwhile.

I don't like the points popping out the tops of struck enemies. That's not the kind of thing I want to play. In some of the trailers, too, the whole x-ray thing seemed rather too gratuitous and more than a bit overdone, but going by the demo it seems to be used more to punctuate each battle. Which isn't quite so bad, I guess. I like the attention to detail given to the projectile path.

For a little over £20 I'd be all over this if I could play it in co-op, but I don't think I know anyone patient enough to allow me to play through it as I'd like to anymore. I'll probably wait. Might not bother at all. Don't know.

Banjo, you're being awkward again. Get it on Xbox, and I'll co-op with you.

That would require me to get an Xbox. I don't like you that much.

Is it possible to cover your shots with the sound of bombs going off? Been trying to do it in the demo but have had no luck..

There is an achievement for it so it must be possible.

From what I've seen in the videos on YouTube, there are only certain sections where you're able to cover the sound of your shots, and the game will display a little soundwave prompt in the top right of the screen when you're supposed to fire.

A couple of screens from the Hitler mission to keep this thread alive. It's pretty hard to get a shot on him as he darts from hiding spots really quickly. I tried to shoot him through the balls to see if he only had one but ended up in the thigh :(

It feels like a bit of a cop out game. They've set it up like CoD with traps and sniping. The levels should have been a lot more open and Hitman-esque. Or at least had a lot more focus on sniping. For example if you only fire once or twice the enemies can't tell where you are, but will hunt in your general vicinity meaning you have to move around between shots etc.

Instead, even on the hardest setting I can just sit in one place and pick off every enemy as they just wander around the area they spawned in.
