So I've got FFVII working on Vista...

And I've run into a problem already. Menus, FMVs, battles and so are all fullscreen but when I'm wandering around the overworld I've got this ridiculous massive black border at the bottom and the screens are scaling to that instead of the bottom edge of my screen. I've tried fiddling with the settings to no avail and for whatever reason other games and FFVIII don't have this problem.

Any pointers?

Final Fantasy VII didn't even run properly on Windows 95, let alone on Vista.

Ditch the PC version, emulate the PS1 version.
