What about someone who's had the same haircut since he was 16 (I've also had the same hairdresser since I was 5) and only shaves when absolutely needed to avoid being kicked out of polite society?

Am I allowed near children :shifty: .

The problem with tattoo styles is that fashion changes and you're stuck with them.

In the 00s everyone wanted those tribal tattoos, this decade it's full sleeves full of detail.

Well, I am a young go-getter at a sprightly age of just 42 so that's a fair comment.

I think facial hair in general is back in fashion

personally I've shaved off my beard and moustache like once in my life and it was a terrible mistake, so I fall firmly into the moustache gang

I think it (facial hair in general) has massively come back in fashion over the last few years.

I’ve never been clean shaven since I could actually grow facial hair, granted its only looked like a half decent beard for the past 5 or so years but still I’ll probably never go clean shaven, whenever I go clean shaven my neck just flares up with spots which is just annoying so I don’t think it’s worth it for me. I don’t think I’d suit just a moustache though, I have thought about trying it out but always chicken out when I’m in front of the mirror  one facial hair style I fail to understand is the ‘chin strap’, it looks like it’d take far too much maintenance and far too often for my liking. At least with a full beard you can just give it a general trim every couple of weeks (or whenever you want and adjust your neck line as and when.

As for my hair that just does whatever it wants and gets a trim when I feel it needs it.

It's ridiculous how many of the "cool kids" these days are sporting that pompodor/undercut/beard combo. Watching Liverpool v Spurs tonight and half the players have it. I've even leaned towards that style myself. I can't remember the last time beards were this popular, sixties hippies maybe?

The hipster look (which seems to bring together lumberjacks, 80s skaters and 90s grunge) seemed pretty cool when it emerged a decade ago, then every prick went for that look to look cool, I can see why it died off.

Again, the cycle of fashion is baffling, as a teen in the 90s I thought facial hair would be gone forever.

This has been happening for strawberry floating ages mate. At least with hipsters in the southeast.

Hell I technically have a moustache, although I wouldn't call it one.

This whole look also needs to die. Everyone trying to look like some generic Love Island banana split.

It'll be gone soon. Happens with every fashion trend, a few "cool" people set a trend, everyone copies it, then it dies.

Hippies set a long hair/beard trend in the 60s to differentiate themselves from the mainstream, as soon as the mainstream adopted it the next generation went off it.

70s seemed to be a competition for who could grow the stupidest sideburns, I'm not sure whether it was part of disco culture or not, by the end of the 70s they were gone.

80s, from what I see from old movies is a mix of bad perms, mullets and moustaches.

90s, which was when I was a teen was all about the clean shaven boy band look. Beckham and DiCaprio seem to epitomise this look, I thought the 90s were so futuristic and modern at the time and that this would be the look that lasted forever. By the mid 00s it was gone.

It's all very cyclical and unpredictable, I remember this look being cool in the early 90s and, possibly as a result of the undercut being fashionable, I've spotted a few teens starting to sport sport something eerily similar, it seems to be the direction that Danny Welbeck and Delle Alli and Aubameyang are going in...

Since I've gotten settled into this workplace about 4 years ago now I've grown out a beard. Mostly out of sheer laziness, but I ended up liking it.

I also can't remember the last time I had a haircut, to my aunt's dismay. I was never a fan of getting haircuts, and as she's a hairdresser and did it for free I care even less for the idea of paying for them. So every time I'm back for Christmas and the like she would do it. One year I just decided not to go through with it and it's been going since.

It's a bit of a faff to deal with sometimes, but I remember feeling naked without the full mane when it's gone, so it stays.
