With regard to NCT, pretty much the same here. The mothers are friends years later and the kids still love playing with each other.

The actual sessions themselves were a bit perfunctory.

Mine started year 1 this week. So far so good, I don't think it's very different from reception yet, lots of playing and very simple learning.

He cried yesterday going in as well. For about 4 seconds until he's inside. The separation thing was an issue whe he started nursery. This is a new school and he doesn't know anyone.

I'm also avoid the parents that sound like they should be on JK. Knobs.

I don't remember my lad crying, but almost every day he says "I don't want to go to school" but then has a good time when he's there.

Yeah he hasn't said that. But you can feel him getting anxious as we approach the gate. We're only currently doing afternoon sessions as well so its probably the waiting around doesn't help.

Not a strawberry floating chance. There's 3 of them I wouldn't send him to if they were the last people on earth. Horrendous humans. I remember similar ones at my junior school. My mom kept me away from them

Moved my 19 year old daughter into her Year 1 Uni accommodation yesterday, it was very very tiring as I worked early and then helped move all her boxes in and then took her shopping for £70 of food and helped her carry it back to her room. It only seems like yesterday I was walking her to the school gates, how time flies.

Kid went back to school last week.

Has spent most of the morning puking.

For strawberry floats sake.

Yeah, I hated having to go back to school too after the summer holidays

My daughter has started her GCSE courses this week and I've never seen her happier to go to school! At first she was a little unsure that she'd be doing the classes she wanted, but she has. She has friends from her friend group in every class apart from one, and her least favourite class has most of them in.

Funniest part for me is knowing she thought her form tutor was a cow until she actually had her for form! Apparently she's lovely. So all is well at the moment.

We had to meet his new teacher on Thursday and I remember her saying "I have been off all week as I have been ill".

I don't know for a fact that she had a vomiting bug, but I'm blaming her.

My lad is fine now, they get over it so quickly. He was crying and upset this morning and sick a few times. And then suddenly it was like he snapped out of it and was back to his normal self.
