He has tonsilitus and now has antibiotics but jesus christ i was terrified.
He is now a sweaty mess. But hopefully on the mend.
I really feel for you mate. There is nothing more terrifying than something like that happening to your little one. I hope he continues to get better and back to his normal self.
My lad needed an operation just over a week ago, we knew it was coming but in the build up to it I was an absolute mess for days before it. He is fine and is back to himself now, but it was a horrible time.
Is he okay now moggy? What was the op if you dont mind me asking?
He’s ok now, back to his normal manic self.
He had a problem with his teeth, basically a load of them came through with no/little enamel. Which caused them to very quickly decay and were causing him pain. They had to take 8 of them out (mostly from the top) and because he’s so young, it had to be a general anaesthetic.
The day of the operation was horrific, poor lad was in pain, bleeding and just crying all day. The day after he looked like a professional boxer had smashed him in the mouth.
But he recovered quickly and it doesn’t seem to bother him at all now.
The whole thing just made me feel so irrationally guilty on top of the worry of the operation and the sympathy for his pain. We’ve never let him have fizzy drinks. Rarely does he have chocolate. He never has sweets. We brush his teeth at least twice a day. And we still look like awful parents.
I’m getting over the guilt/upset but it was a really tough time.
strawberry float me I’ve written an essay!
