I’ve even had it in the car. My dad will put an iPad in the back of the car so the kids can watch cartoons. So when I’m driving with my son:

“Me watch Paw Patrol?”

“I don’t have a screen in here”

“Me watch Paw Patrol?”

“I don’t have a screen!”

“Grampy have iPad”

“Well strawberry float off and live with strawberry floating Grampy then you little gooseberry fool!”

Also, came in here to post about my son being tongue tied, it was diagnosed a couple of weeks ago when he went for his first round of vaccines. Got an appointment pretty quick and took him up yesterday, were there for a couple of hours being shown videos and after care stuff, the procedure took about 5 minutes and Im not kidding hes like a completely different baby. He was never fussy or cranky much, except when he was hungry but he would clench his fists and hold his arms in tight a lot, the physio actually pointed out that he was hunched over quite a bit and his belly was tensed as well. Once the procedure was over his hands were open, his arms wide spread wide and he was making all kinds of squawks and squeaks, he was sticking his tongue out and just generally much perkier and more relaxed. Hes in no pain, even when we go jamming fingers in his mouth to take care of the wound, he slept just fine last night, but he is more free in his movement, more relaxed overall and more vocal, its an incredible change.

I went into it expecting it would make his feeding a little easier and in future years it would make his speech a little better but I did not expect it to have such a massive wholesale change. We had our worries going in but the second we saw him post procedure it all went away, its definitely been a worthwhile procedure and something Id siggest everyone look out for.

We had tongue tie with two of our and once it was dealt with we saw similar effects, it was definitely worth doing.

Our middle child was hilarious, as soon as he had it done he spent most of his time just poking his tongue out and giggling to himself!

Last night I said goodnight to my son but didn’t kiss him as I have a cold. As I walked out of his room he came running after me saying “bedtime kiss????”.

I planned to take my 2 year old to a farm today to see the animals. He was all excited this morning about seeing moo cows.

Now he’s decided he doesn’t want to go out and is getting angry that I’m telling him we are going out soon.

He keeps storming into the room shouting “YOU CAN’T MAKE ME LEAVE!!”.

After doing that five or six times, he’s now switched tactics and just said “me not feel very well, me need to go to dentist”.

Little sod. :lol:

I might have stayed home if he hadn’t confused dentist and doctor, that mistake means I’m taking him to the farm purely out of spite. :lol:

Just discovered my son order Ralph Breaks the Internet a month ago. My wife just had it on through the Fire Stick and I was confused as I didn’t think it was on Prime yet.

Checked my Amazon account and it’s cost me £13.99!!! I’d claim it back from them but it’s already been watched at least a couple of times.

Its well worth a watch, theres far worse he could have gotten!

We just got an Echo, father in law got a spare one for installing a smart thermostat so he gave it to us. Thankfully Zelda cant prnounce "Alexa" properly so she cant do much with it, yet......

Tell you what mate, the argumentative phase that we're just coming out of was an absolute nightmare.

When the mood takes him, Arch can say no to basically anything, even if it contradicts previous choices. He's getting better now, but it's gone on since about Christmas and has been bloody hard work :slol:

Congrats mate. It's hard work at times (see above) but honestly absolutely magical. I pointed out a horse to the kid (just turned 3) the other day, as we drove past.

Him: "It eating all the grass, daddy. We talked to a horse on daddy's bike. [True: we did do that, but it was about six months ago.] It good fun on daddy's bike."

Like, I could have cried. Seeing them turn into thinking little people with memories and opinions and preferences is incredible. :wub:

It really is.

My mum is obsessed by people choking. My entire childhood memory seems to consist of nothing but her saying “WATCH OUT FOR BONES!” if I was eating fish or “MAKE SURE YOU CHEW IT!” if I was eating anything else. I think it all stems from her nearly dying on a Rolo when she was a kid. :lol:

Anyway, while looking after him she told my son about an incident years ago when we were on a family holiday. My brother almost choked on a ice cube while we and in a panic my mum hit him on the back and the ice cube flew out of his throat across the room.

My lad comes home and with a really serious look on his face starts saying “uncle choked!”, I was confused and asked what he was on about and so he told me “uncle got glass in throat and COUGH COUGH. Nanna punch him on back WOOOOOSH across the room” I was still confused but eventually worked out that glass meant ice and remembered the story. :lol:
