Now he’s decided he doesn’t want to go out and is getting angry that I’m telling him we are going out soon.
He keeps storming into the room shouting “YOU CAN’T MAKE ME LEAVE!!”.
After doing that five or six times, he’s now switched tactics and just said “me not feel very well, me need to go to dentist”.
Little sod.
I might have stayed home if he hadn’t confused dentist and doctor, that mistake means I’m taking him to the farm purely out of spite.
Tell you what mate, the argumentative phase that we're just coming out of was an absolute nightmare.
When the mood takes him, Arch can say no to basically anything, even if it contradicts previous choices. He's getting better now, but it's gone on since about Christmas and has been bloody hard work

Congrats mate. It's hard work at times (see above) but honestly absolutely magical. I pointed out a horse to the kid (just turned 3) the other day, as we drove past.
Him: "It eating all the grass, daddy. We talked to a horse on daddy's bike. [True: we did do that, but it was about six months ago.] It good fun on daddy's bike."
Like, I could have cried. Seeing them turn into thinking little people with memories and opinions and preferences is incredible.
