Starting school went well. Although now I have a ClassDojo app on my phone because they can't just send emails and to deal with the heap that is ParentPay!

Children's TV is way better than the crap I used to watch when I was little. Here are some of my favourites that I've watched with my 1 year old:

1) Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom - This is made by the same people as Pepper Pig but I think it's miles better. The writing is genuinely funny and the world created is consistent. Nanny Plum is the best character: a real diva.(Available on Netflix and I think BBC iplayer)

2) Kiri & Lou - This is a beautiful hand made clay mation about 2 prehistoric creatures and their daily adventures. Episodes are 5 minutes long and deal with some in depth subject material like jealousy, mental health, inclusivity and just being cool to one another. Lou is voiced by Jermaine Clement and he brings real warmth to the character. (Available on BBC iplayer)

3) JoJo & Gran Gran - This is a very sweet animated show about 5 year old JoJo and her grandmother who looks after her in the day. I've not watched all of it yet but the first episode was a very colourful celebration of Caribbean culture and carnival. (Available on BBC iplayer)

We have an app called "Teachers2Parents". But the school hasn't authorised my number so I have no idea what's going on and am relying on the wife.

I tried joining a parents group for the school on Facebook. Turns out there is another school in Bristol with the same name, the lady running it messaged me when I tried to join, she was really nice (really nice :datass: ) but I must have looked like a paedo trying to get access to a primary school group.

I mean mostly non of them they drive me nuts, but most recently moo and me have been watching Gummi Bears on Disney+. Original Brum is on iPlayer so might give that a go.

Generally I hate kids TV shows so we watching a lot of cooking shows as moo loves them and then pretends to be Jamie Oliver, James Martin or Rachel Koo on her play kitchen.

It's only when I was working we would have the TV on as I don't like how zombie like she gets so try and avoid kids TV shows.

She bloody loves Swashbuckle though.

Mine loves Peppa Pig, Ben and Holly etc. He also loves a lot of shows on Netflix that are aimed at older kids. Teen Titans Go! being one of his favourites. Which is great, it's a good watch for adults as well.

Teen Titans Go! Is absolutely epic. strawberry floating hilarious and so many throw backs to the 80s and 90s.

And responsible for one of the best musical earworms ever!

It's the one cartoon I don't mind the kids watching for hours.

I see your game and raise you

Incredible song. Nice homage at the end of Pops being carrier into the sunset by a flock of seagulls

Quick, to GRcade...

My wife's been having contractions since 7pm. We went to hospital this morning for a check, but not much is happening so they've sent us home again. Now we're just waiting around watching Saturday Kitchen. They Covid tested my wife, but not me. Precautions were in place, but they were also more relaxed than I thought they would be.

So... Yeah.

Nah, due date was yesterday. He's our second kid so we kinda know the crack. My anxiety has been through the roof because I've been petrified I'll develop a cough and not be let in. But it should all be fine.

My uncle (well his wife ;) ) has just had a baby. Which means I have a cousin younger than my son. Weird.

Been looking after my pals 10 month old today. I'm really not into kids but we're best pals so Im trying to get to grips with it. Today we sang along to Ponyo and Totoro and she really enjoyed it. Can't wait until she's older so I can show her all the film's.
