Thought it's meant to be January for this kind of thing?

I did it 16 years in a row once, never again.

I had a dry summer, so no, the drought has now ended.

The nights are drawing in, the weather's getting worse, I can't really leave the house to see people, and my job remains manic, so no, I will definitely not be going sober for October.

No chance. A life without alcohol is no life at all.

I don't drink so I guess I'm doing this by default.

You’re looking at it wrongly. If you are on antidepressants then it means you have to drink even less to get the benefit of feeling tipsy.

I don't usually drink unless I'm out with friends anyway, and that's kind of not been a thing this year anyway, so it won't exactly be hard.

That said, I did get in a box of cider to help me along with the US presidential debate, so I should probably get through that. Otherwise, I can't think of any other time I'll be drinking, so ignoring the start, it'll kind fo happen by default.

I'm not a big drinker anyway, I only really drink on special occasions, so I'll probably be doing this but not voluntarily.

I’ve got a baby due any day now so I’ll be in my best behaviour by default. Saying that, I’ve barely drank since before lockdown, which has been a big change for me.
