So if it's in the form of a loan then it'd actually work out about the same.

I highly doubt the Canadian government will loan you the money like they do over here, and I also highly doubt the Student Loans Company will loan you money to study outside the UK.

International students over here pay upfront.

Ah yes, furthermore you have to show you can survive here, so you need to show you have enough money for the tuition and to survive a year while you go to school so I think in total you need some ridiculous amount like $30,000-40,000 before they will give you a student visa.

Like I said your best bet will be a working holiday visa as a first step.

The £9k figure is also the subsidised fee for domestic students. For example, international students studying a science or engineering course at my university pay around £16,000 a year.

Which explains why the only international students at my university are the rich Asian and Middle Eastern kids.

We get loads of Americans coming up here to study as even without the subsidies it is still cheaper to go to university here then in the USA.

Does anyone know who I should call in this situation? I assume it's not something i'd have to phone the police about.

Maybe you should phone the police and say that she just threatened suicide .When they turn up I bet she will be shocked.

She sounds absolutely mental. Get rid of all her contact details. Ignore any contact she tries to establish.

If she has a support network than if anything giving into that will actually be detrimental to her because she needs to face the underlying causes for her depression instead of trying to reawaken past glories, depressed people get stuck in the past like that.

What the strawberry float is wrong with women.

I've gotten back from football to a message of

"Why have you still got photos on Facebook of you and (my ex)"

Now may I add these are from 6 years ago, when I went on holiday and are my only memories of my trip to Egypt. I use Facebook for posting pictures of funny cats and stuff :shifty: I don't even look at my photos, especially ones from 6 strawberry floating years ago.

I have since been told it looks like I can't let go as it's not nice looking at pictures of me all lovey dovey with someone else. :|

So now she has gone all funny with me. Jesus Christ almighty. Must be time of the month.

You should suggest to her about time of the month and report back with the outcome.

Yes?

Presumably these are photos that were uploaded at the time, right? Who goes back and erases old photos just because they're with someone who they're not seeing anymore? Is that actually what she expects you to do?

strawberry float that. I've told her she pissed me off and I'm going to sleep. Talk about creating an argument from absolutely nothing. :| if there was an Olympic sport they'd clean up.

They were uploaded in 2008/2009 and yeah that's what I've said. She has now withdrawn her accusation with

"I didn't expect you to delete them, I'm just saying how it looked"

Well yeah it looks like that because I was going out with her then. I've said goodnight too her, i fully expect an apology by the morning or I'm gonna be annoyed with her.

I did make a joke about her face stalking me while I was out, she went right past that. She has now apologised if her opinions pissed me off. They haven't pissed me off, but accusing me of not letting go because photos from half a decade ago are still on there is just :fp:

So she's sorry that her opinion pissed you off, not sorry for being mental in the first place?

Kinda like when someone says 'well I'm sorry that you feel that way'.. Cop out.

Meh. I actually did go through and change the privacy settings on my 'ex-pics' when I started seeing my gf, so only I could see them.

It was a job of 30 seconds and if it made gf feel more secure, then fair enough.

On the flip side, my gf isn't the type to fret about that stuff, but still...
