I know it's all childish stuff, and as I've said I've already tried turning their insults back on them and more besides. Nothing works. The analogy you gave is perfect, they're jealous that I'm more attractive than them. That doesn't make it any easier to deal with the whole thing though.. you just get fed up of hearing people go on and on about it.

Like I said, trying to ignore it is one of the only things I haven't tried..

Dude. People bully for the reaction. Ignoring them works every time. And I mean like hardcore ignoring. Just don't even look in thier direction, don't say a word. If they say something to your face just act like they hadn't said it.

I was bullied in secondary school and hardcore ignoring people just works wonders. At least for verbal stuff. They will get bored that you're not reacting and eventually stop. If chavs/teenagers ever yell at me on the street I just do absolutely nothing. Never fails.

Anyways bit of a tame update but my girlfriend is visiting for the whole of May :-D

(Edit: I was agreeing with Cora that Fade gave bad advice) Yeah, that's pretty gooseberry fool advice. I still say you need to not show that it effects you and just say something back. Something more creative than "you're gay", though. It'll be good practice for trying to come up with conversation in uncomfortable situations. Trust me, I probably would have acted the same as you when I was around 13 but now I'll just dismiss someone and say something back that I've noticed about them. It'll take practice, but you've got nothing to loose by this point.

Only crazy people try to insult a mannequin.

You have to be incredibly persistent with it but it does work.
If you have to say anything don't insult them back that's what they want. You want to seriously question thier behaviour if you say anything at all. I mean be completely straight about everything, no silly insults. And if they still act like children you just go back to ignoring.

It might not work against physical bullying but it works fantastically on verbal bullying. Source: someone who had to switch schools because of bullying and then managed to avoid the same thing happening in the new school by doing these things.

And when I say persistent I mean persistent. One time I literally sat there for 5 minutes unflinching not saying a word while they tried to annoy me.

I find it crazy how people don't use common sense psychology like this.

Shaun, are you really, really sure you don't smell? And I mean REALLY sure? Ask your mum. Ask your doctor. Be 100% sure, because you probably wouldn't be able to smell yourself.

In the mean time, shower in the morning instead of evening and use a good anti-perspirant and aftershave. It seems like a really strange rumour, because.. like.. people can just smell you, you know? If you didn't smell, people would know that.

As for the gay thing. I looked up some pics of the "90s Bon Jovi" you described yourself as... You don't wear a leather vest, do you?

I have a friend who dresses like a queer, we once went out for drinks and he was wearing a jacket, no shirt, and a leather tie. Just a leather strawberry floating tie over his naked chest. Women strawberry floating love him, but it's obvious that guys are going to call him gay.

I used to know a guy like that at College.

He had this lame ass little mustache and would sometimes wear what I could only describe as this weird freaky String Vest thing.

He was pretty well built if a little podgy, and even though he would not stop going on about all his knives and guns he owned and stuff, the girls used to flock to him!

Last I heard, he went into the Army and then went proper off the rails. Apparently tried to run off (kidnap) some girl way younger than him or something. Don't know if he did anything to her but I know her Dad found him and the gooseberry fool hit the fan etc.

(disclaimer I only heard rumors about that incase you read this Ben)
