It's naivety. You need to be aware on some level of what others think and how they act, even if you don't appreciate their views. You can't go through life in a daze.

Not caring what people think does not make you cool.

Don't rush when you're talking to girls.

I don't think you guys understand what I mean, because I don't actually disagree with anything you're saying. Like I said a few posts back, different minds, thinking in different ways. The fact that a definition has been bought into the discussion is just ridiculous.

Yes, it is ridiculous to advise you what the word actually means when you are trying to tell us what it means.

Scotty I'm sure you know at least one person that is cool. Just think, what would that guy do in this situation? He'd be cool.

Falsey, isn't your advice only really useful for one night stand sort of things?

If someone is innocent, truly unaware and oblivious to being judged by others, that is cool. It is genuine, it is real, it is cool.

...If you mean what I think you mean, then 'innocent, unaware and oblivious' are terrible words to describe it.

I think what you mean is someone who generally secure and confident with themselves will generally be less likely to care what others think of them.

Provided the person actually has valid grounds to be secure and confident in themselves, then this kind of self-confident assertiveness is usually pretty attractive, so long as it doesn't edge into arrogance.

But that's not innocence, nor is it unaware or oblivious. It's actually the exact opposite.

Do you mean positive innocence or negative innocence?

It isn't hard to imagine someone who is free of other people's opinions. Grammar permitting, I think I'm not the only one on the this forum that feels the same.

Yes, but that's not 'innocence', that's 'secureness'.

You are wrong, there are plenty of people who don't give a damn about the opinions of others who are anything but cool.

See: Bronies, and other types of nerds. They don't care that other people don't like what they like but they are anything but cool.

Falsey's got some good advice about just trying to be yourself and I don't think it only applies to one night stands. It's kind of scary but Falsey seems to do a lot of the same things I do. :dread:

Oh and one more important thing to mention is that it's important to get practice just talking to girls. Don't wait until you see the one that just makes you instantly fall in love because if you do that then you will be a total mess when trying to talk to her. Talk to lots of girls, even if you don't find them attractive, hang out with them and when you do tell them to invite their friends too. It's a good way to build up connections.

Also always have a plan B when things aren't working. If you are out with a bunch of girls and you see them getting bored have an alternative destination planned, and have your friends there too. Some good activities I've found are things like mini-golf, laser tag, go karts, bowling etc. Just things that are fun and easy to do to keep the energy of the night up.

Oh and I believe G-Rat said I'm not her boyfriend until she's introducing me to her friends as her boyfriend, well I talked to her today and she was telling me her friends invited her to a party this weekend and told her to bring her boyfriend. 8-)

Next stop the horizontal mambo. :datass:

I have never ever ever ever ever come close to saying that is the case. Even the bants clique didn't say that! Come on dude, get real.

The rest of your post is fine.
