Isn't it ever a problem for you? You do see her in work every day after all.

There are two in that picture, it's just the other is around the back working the rusty trombone.

Yet, somehow, my relationship advice is dismissed.

Unfathomable.

Dear Uncle Skarjo,

I am a married man that is looking to live the life of Casanova. I need to have a minimum of 15 ladies on the go at once.

How should I go about this?

Thanks in advance

In my close group of friends it's a spoken rule that you don't date ex's. With so many woman out there to pull I don't understand why someone would feel the need to hit up a friend's ex bird, it only complicates matters and can cause old feelings to resurface; when it's possible to have your cake and eat it too, why wouldn't you?

I wouldn't say it's wholly self centred as I wouldn't shag friend's ex's either, it's not hard to go out and find another lass to shag. Particularly in TNAG's case, where he's confided in his friend and his mate has actively recommend their breaking up.

I've always been the one to dump the girl and can honestly say there's never been no feelings for me afterwards.

I wouldn't go out of my way to get with a friend's ex, but at the same time I'm not going to actively stop myself from wanting to be with someone purely because of who her ex happens to be.

I've been with my current girlfriend for five months now. She's the ex of a once very good friend. Their relationship spent a year stagnating and leading towards an eventual breakup once she'd finished her degree but then it became apparent that he'd cheated on her (to what extent, I'm not entirely sure) with a girl he was living with.

They broke up. We knew we liked each other, and I told him as such before I did anything. As in, before anything happened aside from me and her spending time together in a social setting, getting to know each other platonically over the course of a few months before realising we wanted more than that.

He flipped his lid. Haven't spoke to him since. strawberry float him. He wasn't happy with her, he cheated on her, but still wants to maintain control over who she does and does not date? Dick. And as for me and him - I told him before any line was crossed, and he essentially accused me of plotting for months to steal her away from him, and that I encouraged him to break up with her. Which is bullshit, I told him the same thing I'd tell anyone - if you're not happy, end it.

I expect the benefit of the doubt from a friend.

But it has little to do with controlling who she goes out with, more expecting restraint from friends.

I don't think you can call him a dick when you're shagging his ex, and from his perspective it's easy to see that you've said break up with her then started strawberry floating her - even if this is an unfair perspective. But then again, that is objectively what happened.

It's easy to find a chick to strawberry float, harder to find friends for life. My group of closest mates - like 15 of us - have been pals since we were about 5, and they've been there through all kinds of gooseberry fool while lassies have come and gone. There's no way I'd risk sacrificing that just because a fit ex of one of theirs started showing interest.

It's a strawberry floating lazy way to find birds anyway, because of course you're going to already know them and will most probably already get on with them. And so long as you're friends are fit too they probably will be as well

I've spent about 5 minutes trying to write a response to this :fp:

I don't think going out with a friend's ex is a right or wrong kind of thing - it depends on circumstances.

If the relationship ended badly then going out with a friends ex will be seen as siding against your friend.

If it ended amicably then I don't see what the problem would be?

Am I the only one who doesn't like ever seeing ex's after we break up? Makes it so much easier.

If she ever sees this she'll dump you and your family will disown you. And they'd be 100% right to do so.
