I doubt anything with the Trump brand is authentic.

Nah mate, it's got pictures of Dubrovnik on the cover art!

I'm really not sure to be honest, maybe get yourself on a ASOIAF forum and ask?

Looks like the 1st UK edition, as opposed to the first US edition.

A full set of signed 1st editions is going somewhere for about $8000 USD, so I reckon you're definitely looking at more than a quid.

That might be the low end. I’d stick it on eBay anyway.

Any of you guys read the 'wider world' books? How much of the content is included/covered in other books?

I'm currently reading and loving Fire and Blood, and want to get into some of the other background books, but I've heard that a lot if not all of the content of some of them is included in Fire and Blood. Is that true?

The World of Ice and Fire book is well worth, You'll learn nothing new about the Targs ( apart from those not included in Fire and Blood part 1) but it goes into great detail about the beginnings of every great family

Just bought myself A copy of ‘The World of Ice and Fire’ and ‘Fire and Blood part 1’, I’ll probably crack on with WOIAF before F&B. Keep meaning to get A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms as well but I think I’ll have enough to read for the time being :)

I remember bits from the previous book:

Tyrion met another dwarf, riding on a pig. And it's a woman!

Brienne is about to be hung by Stoneheart.

That's it. So may have to re-read it all from the beginning.

Yeah so World of Ice and Fire has cliff notes summaries of all the Targaryen monarchs up to Mad King as well as other stuff about the wider world which will never appear in the main book series. IIRC I think most of the book is the Targaryens but I haven't read it since it came out.

Dunk and Egg is new content which isn't repeated.

I wrote that before watching Season 8 and I don't think I'm ready to get hurt again.

I'm interested in seeing what Tyrion get's up with his lady friend as from what I remember she is someone he's become extremely fond of Platonicly which for him is unusual. I must admit I can't remember much about what the other characters are doing other than Bran being a boring pile of gooseberry fool. What's his name is looking for a cure to the stone virus thing so he's about and being all macho so that would be a nice story to resolve.

I really hope Martin noticed the backlash against Bran and murders him good and proper with maybe a bit of body mutilation just to top it off :shifty: . Something really pointless and demeaning like accidentally warging into the wrong thing and his mind being trapped in the body of an animal and he just goes insane or just randomly being killed by lightning.

In fact if the next book just starts with "Bran get's accidentally eaten by one of the Dragons and Danny is unsure why" I'd be happy with that.

Note; Bran died on the way back to his home planet.

Yep. Season 8 made me hate not only the characters but the world, which is incredibly unfair to Martin's works as they bear little resemblance to the later seasons. But I'm sick of it all now.
