And they've already started on her book 5 stuff as of that ep. Dany book 5 chapters were arguably the worst writing that GRRM's ever produced.

Yes. The worst I would say are the Brienne chapters, I'm actually quite thankful they've given Brienne something interesting to do (for now). Her travels looking for Sansa when we knew she was going the wrong way was just utterly painful and pointless to read.

That's what reading Ned's chapters is like when you already know his fate, what a maroon

Brienne's FFC arc does have a couple of interesting events though (Rorge and Biter fights) and the finale is great.

In DWD the only interesting thing which happens to Dany is Drogon in the fighting pit.

So although they talked about Tysha in Season 1 of the show, they didn't have Jamie reveal that she wasn't really a whore in Season 4. Nor did they have Tyrion reveal to Jamie that Cersei had been strawberry floating Lancel (and Moonboy too for all I know).

Yep, this confused me too. It's a massive character arc for Tyrion in the books but has been completely glossed over here. Odd.

SOS Tysha is also the reason Tyrion goes to find Tywin.

I blame the running time and the amount of stuff they have to cram in, tbh.

Nah. That doesn't wash with me. As i said before the Cersei/ Tywin and Jaime scenes beforehand were completely unnecessary. To think they were added at the expense of this pisses me off.

Tyrion's whole attitude and lifestyle is shaped by his relationship with his father and his resentment at the 'sharp lesson' he received (Tysha). They should have put it in.

It also changes the relationship between Tyrion and Jamie as essentially Jamie just stood by and let Tysha get train ganged by the Lannister army knowing she wasn't a whore which Tyrion is obviously not cool with.

Yeah that five minute discussion about beetles was vital to the narrative. Instead of that they could have had (SOS) Tyrion bringing up Tysha again thus making Jaime feel guilty and having him confess in the finale.

The moment in A Game of Thrones when 200 or pages of bliss are broken by Martin remembering Bran exists and giving him a chapter :dread:

There's one book where Bran only has like three chapters.

He doesn't have more than five in this, the first book, but they're all so bad. Sansa's almost as bad because he clearly can't write a spoiled girl without making them seem like the stupidest person in the world but she's redeemed by always having glimpses of moving beyond that.

At least Ned's idiocy is funny

I don't think Sansa's spoilt it's just she's been fed all these fairy tales about princesses and gallant knights and she thinks the world is really like that.
