'When I first kissed you' by Extreme. I love every other song on the album but can't stand that one, I've deleted it from my play list and its always jarring when someone else plays the album and it comes on. Pornograffitti would lose absolutely nothing if that song was removed from the album and would arguably be all the better for it
Foo Fighters - Best of you. I hate hate hate this song. As the years have gone on they've become pretty MOR, but I generally like most of their output.

One of my favourite albums right there. I don't mind that song to be honest - 'Song For Love' is my least favourite on the album. It's way too power-ballady for an otherwise hard rock album.

I mentioned Shining Light by Ash earlier - Radio 2 is on in the office today and they're playing an Annie Lennox cover of it. I had no idea this was a thing. It's not bad!

I get that. I don't actually mind 'Song for Love', it feels like it fits the album (but then I don't mind power ballads) like 'More than Words'. Objectively there's nothing particularly wrong with 'When I First Kissed You', it's a fine song I guess, it just pulls me out of the album and, for such a short song it really does seem to go on forever. I think I'm in the minority though because most people I know seem to be fine with it

You must hate their first album...
Actually no, I like it a lot. I felt that Nu-Clear Sounds was very transitional, but by the time they got around to recording Free All Angels they'd nailed their sound as a foursome. Meltdown built on this, and then they decided to take this massive mind-boggling backwards step.
Twilight Of The Innocents was not a great album but has some decent songs on it. The A-Z project is absolutely amazing for the most part, and the two albums since have been above par. I think you need to give latter-day Ash more of a chance.
I'm not sure what it specifically is about the album I dislike, the more punky-industrial styled songs (Battery acid, Misfit love) are mostly alright but they don't really fit with some of the more bluesy, slide guitar infused songs ()like Into the Hollow).
I suppose it led the way for the Them Crooked Vultures (which is excellent btw) side project though so it isn't that bad.
Pendragon have added songs on subsequent releases of albums
The World has: Sister Bluebird
The Window of Life has: Third World in the UK, Dune and Fallen Angel
Now the songs are.....fine I guess, not their strongest work but not particularly bad. They'd all be previously released as EPs and they really do feel like they've just been tacked on to the end of superior albums. They don't really add anything and they are just a bit jarring. Both albums finish on songs that feel like really good final songs and then suddenly they just continue on to not quite as good songs. It seems like an odd thing to do and would have personally just put the EP songs on their own album or just re-release the EPs
