gooseberry fool!

That is a big get. Probably bigger than any of MS Acquisitions because of their track record.

I guess that means we’re getting SpiderMan up the wazoo next Gen.

WOW

This always seemed like it should happen but now it has, great move by Sony. A fantastic studio to add, they will provide plenty of great games for PS5

They were basically a first-party anyway so I don't see the big fuss.

I'd always kind of assumed this was already the case.

Wasn’t there already a Ratchet and Clank remaster on the PS4?

I hope they allow them to create what they want and don’t just tie them up with Spider-Man and Ratchet and Clank (although I can’t wait for Spider-Man 2)

Resistance 4 please!

Although I’ll settle for a collection of the first 3 on PS4.

That studio/software line up at Sony is immense, so much talent wrapped up now. Wonder who will be next? Bluepoint?

Wow, big news. Ted Price always wanted to maintain Insomniac's independence so Sony must have made him a very big offer. For an independent large studio it must be hard to pay the bills if you don't have your own successful IP so this allows the business to continue and for him to put some money in the ban.

I wonder if we will see another Resistance game. I remember talking with a friend when the first one launched on PS3 about how weird it was that it was set in the UK! Coventry or something? There was a newspaper scandal that some alien killing happened in a church.

I wonder if MS came in with an offer and Sony had first refusal or something.

Obviously, I don't know what Microsoft might have offered (if they did at all). But assuming it was in the same ball park it would make sense to stick with Sony purely because they have a long history of making successful games together.

Sunset Overdrive isn't on PS4 at all, is it?

Inevitable after Spider-Man sold 13m. I don’t believe they’d broken 5m sales before.

No, it was funded by Microsoft. It’s pretty much their only major game which wasn’t released on a Sony console though.

I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner. I always though they were a sony first party until they made Sunset Overdrive.

Spider-Man can bore off. More Ratchet and Clank please! And I wouldn't mind seeing what all the fuss was about re Resistance.
