All I was looking for was a nice price for the Vita and Sony delivered, I'm relatively happy. If they'd also announced Skyrim for Vita with cross platform save games then I'd have been ecstatic but you can't have everything.

Anyone know where the queue starts for Vita pre-orders?

Still, even at £250 you're getting a lot of bang for buck so there shouldn't be too many complaints.

Well no. 3DS never had an RRP, the price set by retailers was £229.99...but it really never actually cost that much.

At launch most places were efectively already selling it under £200. I'd imagine Nintendo might announce its going to officially be the £179.99 equivalent from the end of the year or something.

Its quite a big difference in price really...not that the Vita is overpriced or anything, its a bargain at under £300 as far as I'm concerned. I'll probably see what exactly getting the 3G one entails, if I need to pay extra per month for it, I probably won't bother, otherwise I might end up getting that version.

That Sony telly sounds interesting with its ability to show two different images to two different players instead of split screen. Cool idea. Now all I need is a friend/sibling who isn't afraid of getting whupped

Glad i didnt stay up for this now as it looks like a bit of a flop really. We already knew about Vita and Uncharted so there's no real announcement for me really.

If it doubles as a PC monitor, which I assume it will, I might dip for some relatively low cost 3D.

Nothing very surprising then, glad I went to bed after the Ubi show now.

Tempted to get the monitor. Would be cool to have in the bedroom.

I missed the conference but it doesn't sound like I missed much. I've just caught up with the Uncharted 3 demo and trailer both of which were stunning and the best thing shown at E3 so far, I'm also glad to hear of Sly 4 coming next year. I don't have any interest in handheld gaming so the Vita does nothing for me.

Reading the summary Sony did an really impressive E3 this year, beat microsoft anyway.

MS finished with the Halo 4 megaton, Sony didn't really deliver anything new at all. Vita seems well priced but I think that market is going to be very tough with the rise of smartphones.

Microsoft hasn't been trying very hard these last few years. The constant release of forza and halo games has actually turned me away. The problem with the forza games is that it is a "why bother" thing as you know that a newer better forza is on the way, I still haven't played Halo ODST, Wars or Reach and they have 2 new games on the way, it might not be so bad if you play them on release but for someone who goes back to games they didn't/couldn't get on release it wouldn't hurt to mix it up a little.
