I thought the whole point of this cloud nonsense was that everything had multiple redundancies so everyone has continuous access?

They are ''Anonymous'' . No one really knows who they are and they honestly don't give a gooseberry fool. If they did they would say they did it.

Fair point.

I'm just pissed off that I still can't get online.

PSN is free.

Well it is, you paid for that copy of Socom Confrontation or MAG though, enjoy the single player whilst playstation notwork is down.

Yeah...because I've got no other recent games to play

Thanks for the tip, though.

Figured it out!!

LOOK at your purchase history from PSN in your e-mail inbox notice where it says TAX on your purchase…
See the 0.00 TAX from the last three weeks.

This is serious, sony has lost HUGE. we are on lockdown untill they fire the right people and make price
changes.

If this is true then that's a disgusting way to treat customers.

Nah, if it was that then it would only be the US PSN that was down, not the whole world.

For under-charging customers? I mean not asking the full price for something is a mistake but in the end people who have bought stuff paid less i.e. Sony are the one who lost out.

Or is that not what it means and you are disgusted for some other reason?

Maybe they couldn't afford the risk so took the lot down. What gets me is that they seem to be claiming they don't know what it is or why release a statement saying it could be a third party?

I wonder if credit card details have been leaked?

Or maybe it's got nothing to do with it.

I don't think we'll fully ever know unless it does then they have the right to know.

That depends on how they strawberry floated up the tax, if they haven't charged it the that could be a legal issue. Disgusting because they have taken down the whole service worldwide and are giving no explanation.

We'll know if credit card fraud becomes obvious, might be a bit bigger than Shopto.

I don't understand how it can be a legal issue. Is it not just that they lost out on the transaction i.e. it has no ramifications for it's customers?

Still, there's no need to take the whole service down to amend changes in regions outside of Europe.

It's still a legal requirement to supply a tax receipt, customers have been charged tax that isn't recorded, that's a legal issue for sure.
