I'm starting to think that Microsoft might have the right idea by staying out of the VR headset market for the moment. I haven't seen anything to suggest that they can't hold back and launch a VR headset after the likes of Oculus and Valve.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if their first VR headset was a phone attachment like gear VR.

Seems kinda suicidal for them to go up against the likes of Valve and Facebook.

Depends. If they can beat the others to market and offer a viable price point, they might have a shot.

At the very least, they'll probably get swallowed by one of the other, bigger players, which could be a nice payday.
