The entire final series sets up the "you'd never even know it happened" idea of getting whacked. Silvio is having dinner with a guy that gets blasted, didn't even realise until a few seconds after. Bobby Baccala says the same thing to Tony when they're out fishing. Phil Leotardo gets whacked at the petrol station and doesn't see it coming.

Then in the final scene, Tony gets whacked by the guy coming out of the bathroom. He's distracted by the door/bell at the front of the restaurant and the screen goes black because Tony is dead.

Perfect ending

Nah that's not it. It's actually the audience getting whacked. The last thing we see is Tony and then it goes dark. Never saw it coming.

Meh, a wiseguy's gotta do what a wiseguy's gotta do.

Marone! Don't let Tony hear you say that, you'll end up last week's gabbagool :dread:

I wonder who I'd have seen had I not known who it was and who they were playing...

Anyone else wish it was a series and not a film?

Going to watch that trailer shortly, really hope it doesn't disappoint :dread:

As it happens I'm doing a rewatch of The Sopranos, currently 5 episodes into season 2. It's just the best show ever, I really dont think there's anything that comes close

I had no idea this was even being made, and that trailer blew my mind. I was wondering if they'd used CGI to make someone look like a young Tony before looking it up and realising it's Gandolfini's son.

Going to rewatch the show before this comes out. Have a great companion book to go with it, The Sopranos Sessions.
