Back OT but yeah quite hard hitting stuff.

I'm talking about the drowning of Shadya, it was so upsetting. I knew something was up when Bayek started panicking that she had the scrolls, my heart was racing going back to the kitchen, then while I used Senu to scout the light house I noticed Shadya's mother crying at the dock and some of the soldiers saying "what have we done". I was tempted to sneak in as usual but I was so angry at what may have happened I ran in and butchered them all,
then I had to find Shadya with Senu and my heart sank when she was found in the middle of the water, I got on a boat and got their as fast as I could.

The sight of her tied to a rock under the water was quite a shock, her doll on the boat after,
her mother cradling her dead body, I mean, jesus. The acting throughout was exceptional.
I really like Bayek as a character, he's so well rounded and realized. His motives remain solid and his empathy to others really shines through. I went on a murdering rampage of soldiers after this, it didn't really make me feel any better.

You are going to be in pieces when you get to the unskippable mission where you have to kill the Roman babies.

It's a little tiring but flattering all the same.

Do you seriously think that I go around the forum looking for posts by you to troll? We post in similar threads you melter and I take the piss out of everybody.

Anyway back to the game, I remember that mission you described but I wasn’t too bothered by it. I find the story the weakest part of this game, so I probably skipped a lot of the cut-scenes. I am far happier running around Egypt fighting and exploring than I am watching any of the main plot unfold.

I'm not trawling through 13 pages and nearly 250 mentions of my name to count up the threads I didn't post in. :simper:

Feels badman.

I hope I’m not too near the end of this game, I don’t think I am as lots of areas left to get to.

Edit: found several, you really were a nasty piece of work man.

I can’t remember if the mission you described was a main mission or a side mission. If it was a main mission, then there are several after it, I have done missions after that one and I don’t think I am all that close to the end.

I was a nasty piece of work? And yet you have posted nothing to suggest what that was. :simper:

One of the things I was most dubious about this game turned out to be one of my favourite things about it. Senu is awesome. I love flying around, spotting animals/convoys and then tracking them and rushing in on my horse for the kill. :datass:

I would definitely play a game where you just played as a eagle and went hunting.

The above post was entirely necessary. I don't know why.

Interested in picking this up but my relationship with the series has been a a case of diminishing returns.

Love the Ezio series. Couldn't be bothered with the Native American one (which was a weird feeling as I love Native American History) Enjoyed some of Blag flag but never completed it and didn't bother with the one based in London or Paris.

For me it is the best one since the Ezio series. I loved the pirating bits of Black Flag, but I agree the games after that were pretty poor.

Origins is a lot of fun, if you don't want to risk your cash on it, then wait until you see it cheap in a sale.

I picked it up for about 22 quid on CDkeys.

I'm enjoying it a lot more now. I still think the story isn't very clear, but I like Bayek. I'm getting better at fighting but I still don't think it was explained all that well, and it is a little fiddly and clumsy at times. I've used Senu way too much, and am finding new areas before I'm "supposed" to as I'm enjoying flying around. I think the map is probably too big as there are a lot of nothing areas, that whilst realistic, don't really offer much.

It looks spectacular though. The lighting is incredible.

If you have enjoyed any of the AC games then Origins should be right up your street.
