If it's anything like Horizon, it's stuff you can already get in the game just with a different skin on it.

Just competed the Prologue and it’s great so far!

Bayek - he reminds me of Ezio for some reason but I’ll find out during the journey.

I got a fancy tusk-armoured horse as bonus content, but I'd rather keep my camel.

I’ve just reached Alexandria and it took me ten hours to get there.

Yeah, took me just a little less than that - sizeable game!

Arriving in Alexandria is a real 'wow' moment, too: "Meet me at the library!" Really enjoying the game so far, although I'm still getting used to the new combat.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

Yes, combat is a bit weird, especially being trigger-based.

I'm only four hours in, and still hanging around Siwa. I think I'll probably do everything here before moving on. I won't take the same strategy with the other regions, though. Bayek, there's a lot to do.

I had to switch control schemes. I just couldn't use the triggers for combat, it just felt weird to me.

The game is excellent, although I doubt it will make many new fans of the series: it's really a smart, finely-honed evolution of the games. It's an impressive step forward, but it's a pretty gentle reboot and the bulk of it is (pleasingly, for me) quite familiar.

I always do everything before moving in to the other regions. I think it’s the way to do it and at same time you can gain more XP as there are some higher ranks out there.

I agree that the combat is a bit weird but I’m sure I’ll get use to it soon.

Assassin's Creed Origins patch adds even more photo mode effects

Plus HDR support on PS4 Pro, and 4K support for Xbox One.

That's a good update on PS4 Pro - the HDR really gives the graphics a 'pop' - looks terrific.

I'm still in Alexandria and my gameplay time is about 15 hours now.

The side quests are more variety and more meaningful into their story. I'm glad I bought it sooner rather than saving it for Christmas and I can tell it's going to be over 50+ hours to complete everything in 100%.

It's fantastic.

This sounds like it’s really neat. I would have liked to have jumped aboard but the industry’s Q4 game release scheduling is so crazy that you gotta pick and choose carefully. I’ll wait until there is a price drop.

Yeah, cos the Q1 2018 looks crazy with God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, Spider-Man and Red Dead Redemption 2 so I will find difficult to juggle which to play first and time is not enough.

So, I've decided to play Origins now as I have got nothing to play now apart from Destiny 2.

Bought digitally, not playing it till X1X tue. With X1X patches dropping periodically I’ll rejoin games I’ve held off on so won’t be buying anything bar PUBG till next year.

I imagine it will look phenomenal on Xbox One X, because it looks fantastic on PS4 Pro!
