It's really not worth it at that price. Wait until it's discounted.

Just seen this!  Mate!

Really pleased you like it. For me it’s starts superbly and then struggles in the middle before an excellent final chapter. If you feel it starts to grind, progress the story is my advice.

Is Miles Morales coming to PC at some point as well?

Neat. Sony putting their first party games on PC over the last few years is the best surprise development in gaming in the last few years, even if it'll put me further away from actually buying a PS5.

Combined with Microsoft putting all their first party games on PC as well, it makes few exclusives missed. Nintendo and Japanese games mostly.

I'm really getting into a groove with this. In another thread I'd said to Jawa that I'd be happy with an Arkham game every few years. This is like Arkham City meets Assassin's Creed, with a Spider-Man theme.

I didn’t know this. Be interesting to see how they price it. It’s a 10 hour expansion. Really they should have put it all together in one big pack at £50 but I reckon they make more money splitting it out.

I don’t see it happening anytime soon but it would be nice if the time between ps5 release and PC was reduced to same day as per ms. But as a minimum, 6 months would be nice. But, for me, it would make the PS5 redundant (as it does to me not bothering with an Xbox console).

Yeah, if this had come with Miles Morales, I'd be willing to have forked out closer to full price. Hopefully there's some kind of bundle deal once both are out properly.

It initially feels like Arkham combat but not far into the game the balance of enemy types goes completely off and every combat encounter is five thousand people spamming RPGs at you.

I've noticed that, but my own overpowered move is anything that webs enemies to surfaces. I've not used any suit power except the one where he spins around and webs all nearby enemies, and the impact web seems like the best gadget.

It changes. You start of dodging RPGs and end up grabbing them to throw back. The suit powers are a little underwhelming and I found the extending time to dodge and the focus bars most use. For the suits, again some odd perks, electrifying enemies was good.

The combat is much more fluid and graceful than Arkham. But Arkham does excel in the various shortcuts for other gadgets rather than tagging to a single button. Something they should fix next time.

I quite liked the gravity well one/air launch one. Couple that with electric web or web bombs was fun.

Yeah, having to bring up a weapon wheel interface to change gadget mid combat is clunky compared to Arkham's "hold a trigger down and press a face button" system.

I think I'm further in it than you and Mori think btw, I've nearly finished the first two skill trees. I've just got to the part of the main story where there's now a bomb chase map icon category. Also I'm rubbish at it, I can't get better than bronze on any but the first one.

Yeah, so there is a lot to it with the side stuff. How many hours in are you?

I really really enjoyed the final chapter/act. I can’t remember but it’s ‘3’. Really brings the game together.

Started replaying this in prep for 2 coming next year, playing the remastered PS5 version this time round. Still really enjoy playing this, the whole opening Kingpin take down works well at teaching you the ropes. Played up until you get the Advanced Suit and take out the first Fisk Hideout, ready to hit up Aunt May’s birthday party.
