I finished it last week and felt the same, some of the scenes at the end were better than the movie versions!

It's also entered the rare club of me carrying on playing after finishing the story, doesn't happen often as I don't have masses of time and usually have a few titles sitting waiting. I'm trying for the Platinum, but those Taskmaster challenges are getting in the way of me unlocking all the costumes. Gitting gud seems to be the only way round it as well.

Same, I got 3 codes for God of War. Never got any for Horizon Zero Dawn though, despite finishing it last year!

Finished all the DLC today to 100%. Good to have more to play, but I don't feel it ever met the calibre of the main story.

Went back to the main story to try to get the platinum and oh what a grind it is doing all the crimes. Thought I'd done loads more than I had on the playthrough, but I've probably still got another 2 hours or so left after putting in 3 hours today. I would normally not bother but now I'm so deep into sunk cost fallacy territory I feel I have to continue for the trophy :fp:

I finally completed the main story last night after months of just webslinging around and beating up bad guys. I enjoyed the story overall and have had lots of fun just messing around. I am still missing lots of suits and upgrades though, I need to start working on the challenges but they just don’t seem much fun.

The whole game has been great though and now I am moving onto the DLC.

Booted this up for the first time today and I can't remember a game clicking so quickly. It feels so damn good. Can see myself doing all the backpacks and towers before bothering with the story.

Make sure you always do the random crimes as and when they pop up. Its an annoying one to complete if you're going for the (very easy) platinum trophy.

Thanks for the tip - will do. Crazy how the game seems to log every single thing you do.

Yeah the faction crimes were a pain to go around and hoover up later. Still it was my game of the year and I loved every minute of it.

I started about a week ago and I absolutely love it

I'm about 55% through and unless the game nosedives second half, it's going to be one of my favourite games this generation. The game clicked straight away for me too-they've nailed the web swinging (which is the most important part) and I'm really enjoying the story. The combat is very good too, give you a fair amount of options and there's a great rhythm to it. It's not too difficult but if you're not paying attention you will die pretty quickly which is just about the right level of challenge for me.

I did all the backpacks and towers before moving the story along. They're just great excuses to swing round the city.

It doesn't dip. If anything it gets stronger.

Same, the storyline was good but just webswinging around New York was really good fun.

I need to go back to this to finish off the DLC.

Also, make sure you buy all suits first. Cos if you upgrade your skills and it’ll be more difficult to get three stars on challenges to get more tokens.

This. The suits are also really cool.

Spider-Man was absolutely my game of 2018, and that's saying something given that Super Smash Bros Ultimate came out in the same year.

The new suits from 'Far From Home' have been added to the game now.

This was by far and away my favourite game from last year. It's also one of the only games I've ever paid full price for the Season Pass.

About 10% in and have over half the back packs and towers. The combat suffers a little from camera angle fatigue, and the triple whammy of gadgets, suits and skill tree stuff is all a lot to take in menu wise, but totally addicted still.

One question for you guys - how do I know what the bonus objectives are in each red alert crime encounter? And is the benefit to completing them just more crime points?

From memory I think pressing R3 shows the bonus objectives.

One thing I'm curious about is what they'll do with a sequel and if they'll use New York again. This sold 10m+ which definitely puts it in the top tier, so you'd think a PS5 sequel is inevitable, but it'll be harder to make it distinct if they use the same location.

Maybe they'll take inspiration from Far From Home and take Spider-Man to London :datass:
