You can turn it off in the options when selecting what class to use.

First time Splatoon player, and I love it. So much fun. There's still a few things I don't quite know how to do (how do I strafe? I see other people jumping left or right whilst firing and I haven't figured out how yet). Weirdly I can't seem to play docked either, I have no idea what's up there. I can connect to the e-shop and download docked, why can't I play Splatoon 2 docked? My Switch is not behind anything, it is right next to my TV though. Very strange, and really frustrating.

Do you guys recommend motion controls on or off for this?

I didn't think about loading a game and docking it to play. Definitely going to try that on Sunday, as I'd like to play with my lovely Pro Controller. Bizarre issue though. After I've gone through 2 lots of screen protectors to get it on perfectly, I hope I don't have to send it to Nintendo. :shock:

On, if it's off your at a disadvantage.

Seriously the gyro controls are 100 easier to do precise aiming with than the sticks. You can also turn a LOT quicker.

Imagine Mouse vs Analog stick control. It's like that.

It's also much easier to jump and aim at the same time.
