I believe Nintendo are in the midst of emailing out the codes, Lazy, but I haven't received them yet either.

The codes should be in your mailbox now, folks - thanks to Seven for the heads-up!

I'm just logging in to collect the Splatfest Halloween gear. Gotta laugh at how Pearl describes the Trick side as "...mischief and lighthearted vandalism" :o ... .

Are you supposed to go somewhere in-game to collect the Nintendo Online and Splatoween items?

I've redeemed my Nintendo Online code and my game did do an update on the Switch, but I don't see any new stuff in my inventory.
I also launched the game via the Splatoween link in the news article, but again, no new items.

I launched the game via the news article link and the items were in a box on the plaza, Laga.

There's a box? That'll be it then.

I thought the items would just appear in my inventory.

As the Octo expansion is on sale, is it worth picking up? I'm not a huge fan of the singleplayer in the main game (the levels seem pretty bland so far, I'm not a huge fan of the "lots of little platforms floating in space" design, and I don't like the you-have-to-use-this-weapon-for-this-level faff that the research thing keeps throwing at you).

Is Octo more of the same?

Octo is easily the best out of the 3 single player campaigns across Splatoon 1 and 2. It’s by far the most inventive and fun, with them supposedly getting some of the Zelda shrine designers involved. Although it does have a lot of floating in space platforms, I would still recommend it, as someone who wasn’t too keen on the other campaigns either.

I had the same issues with Splatoon 2's campaign, I did not like it that much.

I recently started playing again for the Splatfest. Splatfest was a lot of fun, but when it ended and I returned to the S ranked matches I got massacred. There's a crazy amount of new weapons to get used to (the weapon shop guy would not shut up). I feel like I'm slowly becoming addicted again. Finally starting to get my bearings in the new maps, and Clam Blitz. Getting used to the new specials too, that hammer.

I'm amazed they're still pushing Splatoon 2, isn't it near its EOL? I thought they were only doing a certain number of updates then freezing it.

I've been thinking about getting a sub just to play this again. But I'm too afraid, Salmon Run consumed me.

I’ve not played it in ages so it would take a lot of time to get used to but I do miss playing it.

They extended the length of the updates from their original plan. As a new, young IP, after the hit of the first, the second has really kept the momentum up and they're nurturing it well.

I stopped playing when the sub was introduced. I'd love to get back into it, but can't justify paying when I probably realistically wont have time to play it.

MmmmmmMEGABUMP

I've really got into this since the demo release, despite the fact that I've had it since launch. I never really got into ranked play until now.

Anyone else joining the Splatnaissance? And are you Mayo or Ketchup in the upcoming Splatfest re-run?

Goodsmile are releasing a set of Pearl and Marina figurines and they look terrific. Pretty expensive, though, at $147 for the pair. Click here to check out more pictures at NintendoLife.
