I actually didn't. I was using the same gun as you – the splattershot (trying to level up so I can go back to my go-to, the N-Zap). The special on the splattershot is a temporary ink shield (suits my defensive play).

Any idea how the unlocks work or local salmon run? Do your points reset the same way as the online one?

I'm trying to find another main weapon to use other than the aerosprah but some many of them are guff. The heavy splatling is a massive let down.

They need to sort out the ability to change loadouts without leaving matchmaking, that is embarssingly bad.

That's the special on the aerospray MG, and it's a great special imo. You can spam so many bombchus

"Bombchus".... that must have been them! Several times I had, like, four targeting me... heading towards me through the ink and then exploding

Watch out for those, there are specials that let you "launch" them continuously and at twice the speed, and if they have special duration up on multiple gear they can fire like 10 in a row, same goes for other types of bombs. You're basically strawberry floated.

Best thing to do is to swim backward and run away, you've got no chance of splatting them all. They also go up walls, if they're inked in the opponents' colour.

They're hilarious though.

Yup they're great for taking cover and pushing behind some of the dividing walls in some maps.

Sadly I'm taking all of this from the original game but I'll crack eventually.

Bombchus are actually an item from Ocarina of Time that these just resemble, but it's understandable if you weren't aware as you have to get through Hyrule Field before you can acquire them

Ah, okay - thanks, Karl. I guess it doesn't provide a lot of protection when Celer was bombarding me .

The missles are my favourite ones so far, when you lock on to 3 people at once and splat them when they least suspect it!

I'll be on again tonight if people are about, got a new piece of headgear from the app (Visor) that I want to level up and unlock the abilities on.

Do you have to rank up to get gear with more than 2 stat slots? All the gear I can even see only has 2 slots.

The salmon run schedule is so stupid.

I don't mind stage and mode rotation but unless I'm mistaken it's not open now until Sat at 1am!
