Having digested the Direct a bit more, it all looks very good. Lots of welcome new features and I'm looking forward to embracing it again. The only minor complaint I have is I'd have liked them to maybe mix up the gameplay itself abit more to give 3 more of its own unique feel. I guess that will come from new weapons to an extent and the new movements while swimming look useful but I'd have liked to have seen something that made a bit more of a change. Maybe being able to take 2 guns into a battle and swapping between them? That might unbalance things though I don't know.

Was just re-watching the Direct, on the section where they mention ‘Large scale paid DLC’ they have a message at the bottom saying ‘full version of Splatoon 3 required to use the DLC’ could this hint towards a F2P version just featuring multiplayer maybe?

That's a standard message of DLC. Check the Booster Course Pass trailer.

The direct was amazing, so many features I've wanted being added and the fact we'll have all the weapons from older games too is awesome

Wonder if they may add a bigger size mode down the line like a 6 v 6 or even a Splattle Royal with up to 12 people. That would be cool, I do hope they have more plans for extra modes.

Also, could have done a 2 v 2 v 2 v 2 mode, have special, bigger maps to accommodate this and a BR type match.

Daughter is soooooooooooo excited for this game, she's re-watched the Nintendo Direct about it several times, pausing it at points to look at all the new stuff. She's going to lose it when it gets near BOTW2's release, her all time favorite game is the first one.

I miss being THAT excited about games. Halo Infinite was the last one, the gameplay trailer specifically and for me, that campaign was stellar. Don't really feel it for starfield, I kinda excited about Redfall, I think Fable and Perfect Dark (latest news is PD is coming along great btw) will re-ignite my excitement.

So... there is a Royal Mail strike set for Thurs 8 and Fri 9 September.

Of course, any postal deliveries for this game will be impacted! :-( .

ShopTo have said that they'll use DPD for deliveries if the strikes go ahead.

Hmmn... I dunno, this may be a reason for me to cancel my pre-order and just wait a bit.

Nintendo have this thing called the Eshop....

...just cancelled my pre-order. The game looks to be fun but I'm just not sure how often I'd play it.

Plus I am thinking about getting Disney Dreamlight Valley :shifty:
