Octo 2 DLC for Splatoon 2 is entering the expansion pass for switch. Holy strawberry float the value of this expansion pack just keeps getting better! I don't own that DLC yet so will get it for sure!

Delighted to get a firm release date. Was hoping for earlier in the summer but looks like it needed a little longer so they've brought Xenoblade Chronicles 3 forward to accommodate this releasing in September. I was worried it had slipped even later and was suspecting an August date anyway.

Can not wait for this either way!

I wonder if that's going to become a standard thing for DLC for Nintendo games.

Given both of their recent DLC are both in it (Animal Crossing and Mario Kart) it looks like it. If that continues NSO+ genuinely is an amazing deal lol

I'm digging the box art - it's colourful and fun! - and I'm looking forward to getting back into the world of Splatoon. It's by far the most enjoyable experience I've had with an online shooter and I wish I hadn't sold my copy of Splatoon 2. I did so because I misunderstood Nintendo's communication about the game; when they said (quite early, in my view) that the Splatfests were ending, I'd thought this had meant that the online play would be ending. Thus I haven't seen any Splatoon action for what feels like ages!

I will be, loved the first 2 even though I never really put as much time into 2 as I did the first one, hopefully get some GRsplat nights going again for 3.

We're getting pretty close to splatting... under six weeks now!

I'm really looking forward to getting back into the colourful action. I really liked how noobs to the game can still get stuck in and team up with more proficient players.

I have an insider source who suggests there's going to be a 'Splat by Numbers' type mode, wherein designated parts of the map can only be filled with a particular colour of ink - different colours are distributed by ' Complexion Stations' set along a wall dividing the two teams - and the first team (of 5) to correctly colour their sides picture wins.

I think this sounds great, as I can imagine fighting over getting certain colours from the same stations as your opponents can be quite frantic, chaotic fun.

Oh, man. It does sound kinda neat but, as someone who is colour blind, I hope that the colours involved can be defined by the user. Hmmn... bit unsure about this now, but I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Interesting. I guess this is essentially a spin on Turf mode. And teams of 5? First time they've done that.

The one thing I want from 3 is a load of new multiplayer modes (2 only had clam blitz and salmon run) so I hope this is true and a sign of things to come.
