Yes! He was annoying until my mate told me that I best leave it until the end.

I didn't fancy waiting.
It got easier after I found that spinning in a circle repeatedly was an effective counter to the energy balls, but even so, tense battle. Much harder than anticipated.

Realised I was wrong with 120%. It wasn’t 120% and it’s 100%.
Anyway I think you better leave it until the end and to get the super flame. You’ll see how simple it is.

You don't have to ace him perfectly. As long you don't go near any chickens that's been flamed as that would block the trophy, as that would restore health.
But yeah, I just waited until the end.
Plus you know that by hitting the touch pad, you'll bring up a list of locations you have been? Just pick one and you'll be teleported there instantly. Wish I knew that before the end.

I'm aware of the end game bonus and all that, but I really wanted to ace him, so I expended a lot of lives and eventually figured that knack out to beating him. Once I figured out the spinning move (it's a good trick!) it was only a matter of time before I nailed his ass.
Anyway, everything up to the Tundra world is aced, so I can happily continue on to the end now.

But the current complete percentage is 117%, as I need to get one more skill point which I need to break the skateboard record time. I will try it tomorrow after work.

I gave up. It’s annoying that I cannot even beat the time it requires.
Although the completion percentage for Spyro 3 is 117% so I’ll leave it for now.
