Started into this last night, knocking off Stone Hill and Dark Hollow. Controls took a little getting used to, but by gum it's good to be back.

I really miss that Spyro 1 title screen though.

The flying levels are so difficult.

I'm really enjoying how easy it is to play and how well the well the worlds are constructed. Spyro is such a brilliant character, the design and colour scheme just works.

I’ve never played the the originals though so I’ve been played for less an hour and it’s great!

Very colourful and easy to play too. :D

Yeah, it's great, undemanding fun. Ideal when you need a change of pace from playing something intense.

Yeah, I agree.

A nice change of pace from Red Dead Redemption II when I need a break from it.

This game, Spyro, is perfect to unwind and joy to play.

Made it to the Peace Keepers world. I'd forgotten how good this area was, and already the challenge is ramping up. Oh, how I've missed this...

I am currently 70% into this and Tree Tops was a bit tricky to get the crystals on the other platform.

I don't know why I didn't play the original, but this is so much fun to play and Spyro is a cute little dragon.

30 dragons on Spyro 1. Those flying sections though. How they expect kids to do this. Wanted a break so went back to Spider-Man and unlocked a flying drone mission.... It's more of the same but more difficult.

It's only a matter of working out in what order you should be doing things.

Then there's the Wild Flight, which is just a hot mess. :slol:

Just finished off Misty Bog. Best level. Gonna hit up Tree Tops next.

Tree Tops was considerably less frustrating than I remember it being, the only issue being figuring out which super charge jumps to use. I got there in the end.

Metalhead was easy, but some of the treasure in that level was a real nightmare to figure out.

I found Wild Flight really easy. The hardest flying level I've encountered so far is the first one.

None of them are particularly easy really, but there's always a certain order to do things in that makes it possible. But even then you might only beat it with a moment to spare.

Been playing the first one through and it's pretty good, I love how beautiful the game looks and how each dragon has their own personality, it really does add a lot of charm to the game. The game does start off really easy but I'm nearing the end now and it's now getting a bit challenging. The only thing I'm not keen on atm is the flying levels.

Are these worth playing if you never played the originals? Is much of the enjoyment the nostalgia of revisiting with the incredible updated graphics?
I fancy a 3d platform collect-em-up type thing, but the reviews of Yooka-Laylee put me off that one. Perhaps this is contender?

I would say the nostalgia is a relatively minor factor. The games are mostly quite simple but were always a joy to play, and they still are. For me, the fun comes from exploring small-ish levels and finding all the hidden stuff, but it’s all quite well sign-posted.

Finished the first one last night, 120%, so I’m taking a little break before starting the second.

Yes I would say.

I never played the originals but I love this. It is so simple and fun to play like we (rinks and I) mentioned in the previous pages that it’s good to play on it and have a break from something so intense.

It’s colourful and a very pretty game too.

Spyro the Dragon. 120%. Platinum. 8-)

I will give a little break before I move on to play the next one.
