Bah, weekend nights are a non starter for me. I could do tomorrow afternoon, though I haven't actually purchased it yet. Have spent the whole day moving psvr upstairs and trying to make enough space. Seems to be working despite a camera height of about 6ft and me only being about 4 ft horizontally....

Sorry, I didn't get back from work and on my ps4 until just after 10 and you signed out just as I sent a chat request.

Yep, what time :D .

Anytime after 8:30 should work for me. Due to finish work at 7 but there's the possibility of overrun/overtime.

Good stuff I'm fine with that.
I'll be on at 8.30 and be playing Fallout 4 so send me a chat request when you're ready.

If I pick this up today would anyone be up for some gentle "my first star trek" games this afternoon?

I'm going swimming about 12 until about 3 but can be on for a while after that and then Laga and I are on at about 8.30 so feel free to join us then. The best way to learn the ropes is by doing the training missions which show you how to use the stations and they're single player.

Have you learned anything besides Engineer yet? :P

Ok, I could do 3 to 5 I think. Can't do the evening session unless the wife's plans run later than expected, in which case I'm all in. Will try and become somewhat competent with the basics before then but I am having to split my time between that and optimising the vr set up in its new location. I appreciate this is not exactly the best sob story in the world btw....

I did have a quick go at navigation but found it really odd and then I tried the weapons station and the tutorial was weird as it asks you to target and fire at stuff behind you but as you can't steer you can't see what you're firing at. I'll give tactical another go today as I don't think I'm suited to captaining just yet but I have a feeling Engineering will be my speciality as I just enjoy being a medic/mechanic.

Just done 3 if the tutorials. Good grief this is complex at first. Fun though, and really immersive. Had some move jank but don't want to give up on them yet as they offer so much to the experience.

Lighting in the room makes a massive difference. If like me you have the camera facing away from a window close the blinds/curtains and this will make the tracking much better.

I have pretty much done all I can I think. It's not terrible but it is frustrating. Might have a quick go with the dualshock.
